Y&R Star Melissa Claire Egan Offers LA Wildfires Update – Loses Brand-New Home

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers note that while the drama is red hot in the land of Genoa City, nothing compares to the real-life tragedies many soap opera and Y&R stars are going through with this current Los Angeles wildfire crisis.

Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) recently updated fans on social media about a major loss in her family’s lives.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Star Melissa Claire Egan – “We Are Safe. Thank God. All That Matters”

Egan posted a note on her Instagram Stories, telling followers about the new home she and her husband bought, burning down in the LA wildfires. In the post she writes, “Thank you so much to everyone for reaching out. We are safe. Thank God. All that matters.”

She adds, “But we just bought a house in the Palisades 2 weeks ago that is now destroyed. We hadn’t moved in yet, but it’s gone.”

Egan also states, “We are just grateful that our babies are safe, but we are devastated, and this is all so horrific. Grateful to all the incredible first responders.”

In addition, Egan posted a photo of the neighborhood, which was wiped out due to the wildfires.

Y&R Spoilers – Star Melissa Claire Egan Isn’t The Only One

Egan isn’t the only Y&R or soap star who lost a home during the recent LA wildfire crisis. Fellow Y&Rer, Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) recently revealed on social media that he was forced to leave his home, in an IG video where he was saying goodbye.

Y&R star, Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Newman) also recently updated her fans that she and her family have evacuated their home, and they were safe.

Other soap stars who lost their homes during this tragedy include General Hospital’s Cameron Mathison (Drew Quartermaine) and The Bold and the Beautiful’s Jennifer Gareis (Donna Logan).
