‘Y&R’ Spoilers: Jack’s Not Prepared For Victor’s Sneak Attack – Newman And Jabot Faceoff

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) isn’t naive. But he’s unaware of Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) current plans.

With him serving as a quasi-don, the head of the Newman family aims to take out Jabot. He’s having his fixer gather as much intel as possible on the company’s immediate business plans.

Meanwhile, Jack believes his recent best of Victor through the Glissade pieces sale gives him one-up status. It does, but the Moustache is mad and seeking revenge.

Nikki Newman Was Not Nearly Dead

Victor won’t get off his exaggerated grudge. Indeed, Jack’s extreme and impulsive decision to order illicit drugs from his old dealer was entirely reckless.

But Jack’s life, not Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott), was endangered by subsequently ingesting those pills. He did so to provoke a reaction from the woman he was sponsoring during her latest bout with alcohol.

Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) was wholly at fault for putting Nikki in peril, not Jack. Yet, Victor uses any situation to go after the Abbotts because he has time. Why else would Genoa City, Wisconsin’s wealthiest individual, care about someone, Jack, who is not his financial equal?

Billy Abbott Working Another Angle

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) was in Paris, France, with his new love interest. However, he shielded Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) from knowing every detail regarding his newly created Abbott Media business.

As viewers saw, Billy left the bedroom and went into the living room to make a middle-of-the-night call. His conversation with an unknown ally was about Chancellor, where Billy was recently booted in favor of Nikki.

Believing that his mother, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), was over-influenced by Victor is wrong. Jill chose to sell Chancellor to Victor because Billy ran the business poorly.

Whoever proves to be Billy’s clandestine ally will be necessary. If that person is powerful or valuable, Thompson’s character might have a chance to reclaim Chancellor or damage it.

Jack Abbott Wants Good Times To Persist

Jack and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) worked hard to restore their relationship. More recently, they wrested control of their son’s mind from Victor’s sinister influence.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) aligned himself with Victor after believing he could not work for his mother at Jabot. The peace the Abbotts achieved resulted in Kyle’s return to co-head Jabot and his mother selflessly sacrificing her top spot.

Jack’s gifting Glissade to Diane was a masterstroke. Victor loathed that and the humiliation of Smilin’ Jack beating him fairly.

The good times Jack wants to extend are being threatened by Victor’s renewed focus on him and Billy’s unknown quest to use Abbott Media. Yet, if the Abbotts remain united, they might be able to withstand whatever Victor does.
