Y&R Spoilers: Is Sharon Wasting Her Time – Nick Not Interested In ‘Shick’ Reunion?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that fans have known for quite a while that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) still has feelings for her ex.

That over-the-top dream she had in January 2024 revealed that she was still in love with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), so much so, that promptly after she woke up, she ended things with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd)!

About a year later, Sharon recently had another dream on Valentine’s Day; one about Nick finally admitting that he longs for a romantic reunion. Of course, she woke up and realized that it was just a dream. Is Sharon wasting her time longing for something that will never come to be?

Nick Newman Loves Sharon Newman – Just Not ‘That Way’?

Everything seems to indicate that Sharon is the only one that wants a reunion. After all, while Nick did stand by her side and move mountains to prove her innocence in Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) murder, he doesn’t seem interested in anything romantic.

Every time they go out, he goes out of his way to keep things friendly, without crossing a line. It’s clear that Nick loves Sharon, but does he love her in a romantic way, or just in a way that a great guy like Nick would still care for the mother of his children and his ex?

The Phyllis Summers Factor

Could Nick be done with romancing exes? His last relationship in Genoa City was with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), and it’s been a hot minute since he’s been involved with someone.

Still, is it that he doesn’t see Sharon in that light anymore, or is there a deeper reason why he’s reluctant to reunite? Could it be the history between him, Sharon, and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)?

It may be because he still has feelings for Red, or simply because he realizes that he and Sharon have tried too many times, and things always end up bad … and many of the reasons their breakups end up ugly is because of Phyllis.
