As the season 7 finale of CBS’ The Neighborhood approaches this spring, viewers should keep an eye out for a beloved personality from Genoa City.
According to Deadline, King (who formerly played Summer) will step into the role of Bellamy in the season finale, which also serves as a pilot for a possible spinoff. The spinoff is planned for the 2025-2026 season with others reprising their “Neighborhood” characters.

Set to debut in the 2025-2026 season, this exciting spinoff will feature Justin Long as Bruce, Kara Royster as Matisse, and Angelique Cabral as Lisa.
Marcel Spears and Sheaun McKinney from The Neighborhood, will be reprising their roles; Cabral previously shared the screen with King in the 2015 sitcom Life In Pieces.
King took to Instagram to unveil this thrilling update, expressing her emotions with, “Crying, screaming, throwing up.” She further elaborated, “A heartfelt thank you to @kaplanaaron and @cbstv for this fantastic opportunity!

Hunter Played Summer Newman For Ten Years
King’s presence on CBS is not a new phenomenon; between 2012 and 2022, she captivated audiences as Summer on Y & R before shifting her focus to Hallmark Channel films.
With five romantic comedies to her name, her most recent project, Holiday Touchdown: A Chief’s Love Stor debuted in November 2024 and sparked national interest. This was mainly due to its unique spin on the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce romance.
The Neighborhood graces CBS screens every Monday. For those craving more daytime drama Y & R and The Bold and the Beautiful air throughout the week, while Beyond The Gates is set to launch on February 24 on CBS.
