Y&R Spoilers: Beth Maitland Shames Creator Of Death Hoax

The Young And The Restless spoilers indicate that along with the March winds came rumors that Beth Maitland, who has played Traci Abbott for decades had passed away.

Unfortunately, this was not just idle chatter. Why was this malicious rumor started when Beth is very much alive and well? Who has the time to make up this stuff?

Beth Maitland Speaks Out

Beth may have LOL’d at the rumor, but she also had a very pointed message for someone who would start such a rumor. “The rumors of my death are greatly exaggerated. Shame on people who have nothing else to do but exploit others. Get a life.”

Fans are pleased that Beth is fine and that she took the time to update everyone on her status.

Fans know that Traci is in the middle of a front burner story right now which has them totally engrossed in the outcome. What fans thought was an epic romance for Traci has certainly turned out to be anything but.

However, it is very nice to have Traci front and center for once since she is usually always in the background.

Alan Laurent Has Turned Out To Be Psychotic

When Traci met Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) in Paris, she thought he was a dream come true. Alan, who was her sister Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) friend and psychiatrist.

Alan helped to get Ashley into a treatment center after her DID presented itself coming between her and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John).

No one knew that Alan had a twin brother, Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins) who decided to pose as Alan while he was out of town and completely mess with Ashley’s head.

Once Martin was exposed, Martin and Alan got into a confrontation and fell out an upstairs window leading to Martin’s death, or so we thought. Alan is acting strangely like his brother.

Real Doesn’t Always Imitate Art

Just because Traci is about to marry this nut job, Beth is perfectly fine. Traci’s knight in shining armor seems to have switch places with his evil twin on the way out of the window unless martin came back from the dead.

Whatever the case, Alan does not seem to be himself, that is for sure. Is this guy really Alan or has Traci been with Martin all this time?

Traci feels that something is wrong and tells Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) as much. Alan is acting very strange and nothing like the romantic man he has been for months. Alan doesn’t seem to know what he is doing at all.

Will Traci end up locked up like Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)? Can Traci’s loved ones save her before it is too late?
