The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers imply there are some Genoa City residents who are on top of their game and others who are in dire need of a reset.

The Young And the Restless Spoilers – #1 Character Reset – Victoria Newman

When Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) came to town, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) went from a cut-throat executive who was willing to throw her entire family under the bus for power and control at Newman Enterprises, to a much softer version of herself.

She pushed aside her CEO job to focus on the daughter she thought she lost; however, in the process, she’s lost herself a little, too.

After all, she sat idly by as Claire suggested offing Jordan (Colleen Zenk), without even considering any repercussions that her daughter may face. She did not put her foot down to take control of the situation, which is nothing like the old Vicky.

Can Y&R writers not find a happy medium with Victoria, where she can be assertive, successful at her job, but still harbor maternal instincts to help guide her children in a healthy manner?

Y&R Spoilers – #2 Character Reset – Phyllis Summers

One of Genoa City’s most intriguing characters, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), is a mere shadow of her former self. It’s not necessarily the fact that Red needs a transformation, but moreover, she definitely needs a solid storyline and concrete romance.

She’s been a single pringle for far too long and has played third wheel in two love triangles – first with Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) and Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell), and now with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) – which has got to stop.

Phyllis deserves a love interest of her own, not to mention the fact that she also needs to move past her rivalry with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). Can the Y&R writing team craft up a new arc for Red to move forward?

The Young And the Restlss Spoilers – #4 Character Reset – Sally Spectra

Speaking of Sally, while her romance with Billy is steaming up daytime screens, she seems to be playing more of a trophy girlfriend than the leading lady she was meant to be.

There’s been no fire coming from the Sally character; no real passion, and lately, she’s only been a sounding board for Billy as he goes back and forth on pressing the button on his Newman family revenge scheme.

Y&R Spoilers – #4 Character Reset – Devon Hamilton-Winters

The sad truth of it is that when a character is in a blissful romance, they can get a little boring.

Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) recently married the love of his life, and he and Abby Abbott-Newman-Hamilton-Winters (Melissa Ordway) have been laying it on thick, every time they are in a scene together.

Sure, they are a cute couple, but, as they continue on in their honeymoon phase, both Devon (and Abby) haven’t had much of a storyline and in many ways, Mr. Winters has become dull.
