Y&R Michelle Stafford Sends Special Message To Beyond The Gates Creator

The land of soaps had a new show debut this week, as fans and the industry buzzed with excitement. Beyond the Gates (BTG) premiered on CBS this past Monday, February 24 at 2 p.m. ET, to rave reviews, as viewers learned more about the larger-than-life characters behind the gates of Fairmont Crest.

Meanwhile, on the cusp of BTG’s first episode, CBS created a fun video to help build the anticipation, which profiled some of the network’s daytime and primetime stars welcoming the new show into the fold.

From primetime stars like Tracker’s Justin Hartley, The Neighborhood’s Tichina Arnold and Beth Behrs, S.W.A.T.’s Shemar Moore, NCIS: Origins’ Diany Rodriguez – to daytime drama stars, including the Bold and the Beautiful’s (B&B) Rebecca Budig (Taylor Hayes), Kimberlin Brown (Sheila Carter), Crew Morrows (Will Spencer), The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Bryton James (Devon Hamilton), and a plethora of others; the video highlighted clips from BTG and sweet messages of congratulations and ‘welcome aboard’ from these stars.

One person who not only participated in the video but also sent out a kind message to BTG Creator was the Y&R’s Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers).

Michelle Stafford’s IG Message

Stafford hopped on Instagram and shared the CBS video on her handle. She, along with fellow Y&Rer, Sharon Case (Sharon Newman) are profiled in a clip within the video, as Stafford notes, “Welcome to the CBS family”. In the post’s caption, Michelle writes, “TODAY!!! @beyondthegatescbs I’m going to be watching!!! Tune in! @michelevaljean”

Of course, Michele Val Jean is not only the show’s creator but also the soap’s head writer and one of the executive producers. Beyond the Gates and Val Jean have traveled a long journey to get to this debut, so she was likely thrilled that Stafford shared the video with her fanbase.
