Y&R Jermaine Rivers & Sean Dominic Talk Shocking “Damian” Reveal

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that fans are still completely blown away by the recent “Damian King” reveal that unraveled during the Monday, February 3 episode.

The Damian who viewers initially met, along with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), isn’t the real Damian, but rather an imposter, known simply as Holden (Nathan Owens).

The man, who seems to be Damian King’s (Jermaine Rivers) right-hand, has been parading around as Amy Lewis’ (Valarie Pettiford) son since early January, while the real Damian lurked in the shadows.

There’s far more to this story than meets the eye, and fans will likely get to know the “real” Damian, as well as his partner, Holden, in the days and weeks ahead.

Still, as the plot twist has finally been uncovered, actors Sean Dominic and Jermaine Rivers recently caught up with Soaps.com to talk about this intriguing arc.

Sean Dominic Was Completely Caught Off Guard

Dominic tells Soaps.com that he was in the dark about this twist for a week or two and was completely caught off guard by the Damian charade. Still, he offered kudos to the Y&R’s writing team for their creativity, stating, “I don’t think the fans would see this coming a mile away.”

Meanwhile, Rivers thought the Damian fake was an “easy sell” as Nate and Holden look like they could be related.

Jermaine Rivers Worked Hard To Keep Things On The Down Low

Potentially the most challenging part of all this for Rivers was to keep things on the down low.

He may have wanted to tell the world he was working on the Y&R, but the actor knew he needed to keep quiet, which included not posting anything on social media that, “passionate fans could grab onto.”

This included not following his co-star, Dominic, on social media and keeping things “tight-lipped” until the big reveal during Monday’s show.

In fact, when asked if Rivers would now follow Dominic on Instagram, the actor states, “Oh absolutely, Monday, absolutely, absolutely!”
