Whitney Way Thore Shoots A Hoop: A Middle Finger Fest

One thing that TLC fans know about Whitney Way Thore is that the My Big Fat Fabulous Life (MBFFL) star isn’t known for her decorum or subtle behavior. So, when she messed about with a ball, some critics claimed that she acted in a bratty way by giving the middle finger. 

Losing Weight But Not Gaining Class?

For critics, the reality TV star could shed enough weight to look like Miss Twiggy, but she might not improve her personality. After all, she seems way too much of an exhibitionist for many viewers. Perhaps she remains so out there because of her midlife crisis when she turned 40. 

Let’s not get it wrong, she does, indeed, have many fans who love her. However, some TLC viewers wish she would age gracefully. Then again, Whitney’s personality probably became the main drawcard and the network seems to love controversial cast members. So, the chances of seeing it happen on her reality TV show are slim. 

Hoops & Double Middle Fingers

This week the MBFFL star took to her Instagram and posed with some balls. In her caption, she said, “Can you tell I played soccer and not basketball? Next, she shot at the hoop and missed. The basketball demo looked like a fail. But then, when the My Big Fat Fabulous Life star got one through the hoop, she turned and gave the camera a double middle finger. 

Instagram and Reddit are like chalk and cheese when it comes to the MBFFL star. Sweet comments arrived on Instagram and some people thought that she looked athletic and quite slim. However, very few nice comments arrived elsewhere. 

Social Media Critics Slam Whitney

On Reddit, fans seem less forgiving, and there, an OP simply asked, “Why so angry? Bratty??” Well, in the discussion that followed, some people felt as if Whitney should take a break from social media. Here are some other opinions:

• I just find this off putting and immature, from a man OR a woman. It just seems like a sad, toxic life to live for posting on social media, then fighting back non stop. A social media break seems to be in order. What a wasted life.
• She thinks it’s cute to be throwing shade to the haters and that she doesn’t care…yet she takes time to always address any haters too. It’s pretty immature but also pretty standard for her.
• Ooohhh, nothing silences a critic [better] than flipping the ‘double bird’
