Whitney Way Thore Posts Tribute To Jessica Powel’s Late Dad, Will

My Big Fat Fabulous Life star Whitney Way Thore paid tribute to the dad of Jessica Powell, her trainer and friend. Jessica’s dad, Will, a CrossFit gym owner was popular with TLC fans because he didn’t put up with any nonsense from Whitney when he was her trainer. Now, the news arrived that he had passed away. Whitney Way Thore & Will Powell Go Back Years

Will Powell chased Whitney away because she didn’t always turn up on time for her classes. And, she often ignored the diet that he wanted her to stick with. TLC fans learned that he and his wife, Terry Both worked at the gym, Their daughter Jessica later partnered with the TLC star in her No BS Active business after Whitney dumped Ryan Andreas.

Whitney Way Thore had dated and been jilted by Chase Severino and Jessica Powell started working with her after that. Will Powell was still occasionally seen on the TLC show. In My Big Fat Fabulous Life Season 10, when Jessica got married, fans saw her dad, Will reassuring her when she felt doubtful. He seemed like a very sweet dad. 

Whitney Way Thore Shares A Tribute To Will

On January 6, Whitney took to her Instagram and shared a tribute after the death of Will. Apparently, Jessica Powell’s dad had been unwell. Actually, his death shook many TLC fans because just the day before, Jessica had posted about her dad doing a fitness event. 

Whitney Way Thore shared some photos in a reel and then wrote a long caption. The My Big Fat Fabulous Life star said, in part:

Most of the time I’ve spent with Will has been in his gym, but last year my dad and I went down to his family farm to spend Christmas there…When I met him 15 years ago, the trajectory of my life changed in so many ways… Will has been my coach, my mentor, my friend, and a father figure to me. The impact he has had and the love he has poured into his family and his community is indescribable…

The TLC star also talked about how she hoped people would hold Jessica, her mom, Terry, and the rest of Will Powell’s family in their thoughts.
