What Do You Think About GH Old Carly And New Brennan—Hot Or Not?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that fans were shocked to see that Charles Mesure is out as Aussie flavored Jack Brennan, and former

One Life to Live star Chris McKenna has been recast, apparently as an American version.

This switcheroo comes in the middle of a red hot dalliance with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) which is disconcerting enough, let alone to have a totally different version of Brennan onscreen.

Whereas Mesure’s Brennan was a suave 007 type, McKenna presents as Joe Friday. Which is not the end of the world.

Jack Brennan Has Been Recast

We’re all for giving McKenna time to make the character his own. There are so many ways to play a daytime character that no take is theoretically wrong—fans have their favorites and that’s normal.

But as is usually the case, McKenna’s recast has raised eyebrows and brought out the keyboard warriors. Let’s be honest—it would have been severe and abrupt to suddenly have Brennan fall off the face of the earth (but believable given his line of work).

It makes sense that the show would want to try and salvage Carly and Brennan’s relationship, which had tons of fans in no small part due to their incredible sizzle. Love in the afternoon is what daytime’s all about.

Where is the Love in the Afternoon?

We want to know what you think GH fans. Should the show have brought McKenna in to play a different character? How do you rate his portrayal as dashing spy Jack Brennan? Be nice—the actor is totally capable and has thrived on daytime.

Still, fans are the consumers of GH and their opinions should not be ignored. They are the first ones to say they love a character or plot, and the reverse is true—they can spit venom for days if unhappy.

Daytime fans are loyal to a ‘t’ and that can be beneficial or detrimental depending on your viewpoint. Consider this your chance to sound off on the Brennan recast and the vibe between NuJack and Carly. Yay or nay?

And, keep in mind that his back door dealing with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) could be the thing that blows Cack up!
