TLC Shares Details Of New Original Series Baylen Out Loud

TLC has revealed details of its new series, Baylen Out Loud, which is set to premiere in two weeks on Monday, January 13. The show features Baylen Dupree and her life with “an extreme case” of Tourette Syndrome. 

This disorder features repetitive movements and unwanted sounds (tics) that are hard to control. Read on to learn more about the new series, set to launch on TLC.

Baylen Out Loud coming to TLC

TLC took to its Instagram to reveal a sneak peek of the new series, Baylen Out Loud. The network captioned a teaser trailer “We’re just 2 weeks away from the series premiere on #BaylenOutLoud. Don’t miss it, Monday January 13 at 9/8c.”

The new series follows the life of Baylen Dupree who has “an extreme case” of Tourette Syndrome.

The trailer shows Baylen performing everyday tasks while trying to work through her condition.

“Tourettes is a neurological involuntary disorder. It causes me to have sudden twitches, sounds, or movements,” Baylen says in the clip, adding:

I want a normal life with my family and boyfriend, but my tics can come from anything.

Moreover, the trailer show Baylen struggling in her life including shouting “I have a gun” in a busy airport security line. Fans will get to experience how she handles her life and relationship with her boyfriend while suffering from the syndrome.

Baylen already has a fan base

It seems she already has a fan base, with fans already following her Instagram, who are thrilled to hear that she will now be on TV. Meanwhile, others reveal their excitement over the new show in their comments to the Instagram post.

However, not everyone is on board for this new TLC show. One hints that the network is exploiting Baylen for profit. One wrote, “Definitely will not be watching this one,” while another commented, “Exploitation at its finest. Christ.”

TLC has often been criticized over its choice of cast members in reality shows like 90 Day Fiancé, often taking on extreme characters like Angela Deem and Big Ed Brown. While this might scare away some viewers, the shock aspect of this type of cast member tends to bring in the fans.
