The Royal Family Might Be The Price Prince Harry Pays To Hold The Sun Publisher Accountable

Prince Harry believed that a “central part” of his rocky relationship with his family last year had to do with his decision to keep pushing on with his legal claim against The Sun publisher, News Group Newspapers.

If you asked the Duke why he doesn’t just take an out of court settlement and go home with the meager win, he would tell you that he wants “accountability.” What’s he willing to sacrifice to get it? GB News’ Cameron Walker believes it’s his family.

Prince Harry Could Reveal More Private Details About His Family In His NGN Lawsuit

Prince Harry is apparently not taking his 2023 win against the Mirror Group Newspapers and heading home.

He’s here for round two of the fight, and while some of his compadres have fallen by the roadside – think Hugh Grant – he and former deputy leader of the Labour Party, Lord Tom Watson, have decided to chew it out to the bitter end.

While he missed the opening day of the trial, he is set to take the stand for cross-examination across the course of four days, and some things might surface as his family might have wanted to keep quiet.

During the course of the trial, the judge will go over 30 of around 200 articles that Harry has alleged were gotten from unlawful sources. The timeline for these articles date from 1996 to 2011 – a time which did feature some very hard times for the Duke, from the death of his mother to his complicated relationship with then-girlfriend Chelsy Davy.

To make his case, Harry may have to deprive his family of some of their secrets.

Writing for GB, Walker explained, “This trial could be particularly uncomfortable for the Royal Family; in pre-trial hearing’s, Harry’s lawyers claimed Prince William had secretly settled his phone-hacking claim with NGN for a “very large sum”. This, I would suggest, is something The Prince of Wales wanted to remain private – Kensington Palace has not commented.”

He added: “There may be concerns within royal circles that further private details about the relationship between the Royal Family and the press could be made public by Prince Harry in open court. This will not help him mend relationships with his close family members. Prince Harry, I would suggest, is willing to make the financial, personal, and family sacrifice.”

This isn’t the first time Harry has aired his dirty laundry in public, so what else is new?
