The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that fans were completely caught off guard by the massive reveal during the Monday, February 3 episode.
Turns out “Damian King”, played by actor Nathan Owens, isn’t really Damian King, simply an imposter named Holden, posing as him to find out the real reason Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was so interested in meeting him.
Actor Jermaine Rivers debuted as the “real” Damain during Monday’s show, and it’s hard not to think that the show may be setting him up as the next big villain in Genoa City.
The Real Damian King – GC’s Newest Resident “Bad Guy”
With Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) out of the picture, and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) seemingly walking the straight and narrow lately, GC could use a resident bad guy on the scene to shake things up.
Damian seems especially dangerous as it was now revealed that he had Holden pose as him to find out what Nate was really up to.
Sadly, Denise Tolliver (Telma Hopkins) didn’t exactly dig up all the information about Damian, and some red flags have been raised for the man, considering Nate reached out with a job, and Damian owns a massive conglomerate.
Still, red flags were raised for Y&R viewers after the big “real Damian” reveal, especially his reaction around seeing his mom, Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford).
The Lily Winters Factor
There’s been a buzz that Damian could be Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) new love interest; however, this seems hard to believe. The real Damian seems far harsher and shrewder than his imposter Damian.
As Holden and Damian seem to have a closer rapport than simply being “boss” and “employee” (perhaps they are partners or friends) – could Lily end up sharing sparks with the fake “Damian” (as he plays the role)?
Only time will tell; however, as Damian is holding out on Nate, and very well could be connected to Audra Charles’ (Zuleyka Silver) past in some way, there’s a good chance that he won’t share a romantic relationship with Lily.
There’s also a good chance the show might be propping him up as the next major villain in town.
