The Hunting Party Comes To NBC On An Earlier Premiere Date

Starring Melissa Roxburgh of Manifest fame, the crime drama series The Hunting Party is coming to NBC earlier than you think.

There is good news for fans of Manifest alum, Melissa Roxburgh, who stars in an exciting drama series, The Hunting Party on NBC. While the premiere date was set for two weeks later, NBC is releasing the first episode of the series on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 7 pm ET.

The Hunting Party premieres early on NBC

After her popular role in Manifest, excitement is growing for Melissa Roxburgh’s new crime drama series, The Hunting Party. According to Us Magazine, while the new series was only set to air in two weeks, NBC has brought the premiere forward due to the NFL playoffs.

Moreover, NBC will air an encore episode on Monday, February 3, at 10 pm ET. However, episode 2 will only drop a week later on Monday, February 10, at 10 pm ET on NBC. Moreover, Peacock will stream the series the following day.

About the ‘high-concept crime procedural’

According to Deadline, the exciting drama centers on an elite group of investigators led by former FBI agent, Rebecca “Bex” Henderson, played by Melissa Roxburgh. The group is hunting down a group of escaped inmates who managed to flee a secret, high-security jail.

Meanwhile, Bex has no knowledge of the Hexagon-shared building dubbed The Pit where they were imprisoned. Even worse, these escaped captives feature serial killers. Moreover, these prisoners are considered the “most violent and dangerous criminals the world has ever known.”

As for Bex, despite her “messy” past with the bureau, is an elite expert on serial killers. Furthermore, her ability to be tough and gentle when needed makes her the ideal person to lead the hunt. Now, the team has a two-fold mission to figure out who was behind the daring escape, as evidence shows that the prisoners were helped in their escape. Moreover, Bex’s team must find the escaped criminals.

About the series’ cast

Besides Roxburgh in the lead, Nick Wechsler (Revenge) stars as Oliver Odell, who is Bex’s former FBI partner, a brilliant but unpredictable character. Nick and Bex have a romantic history that will play out in the storyline.

Josh McKenzie plays a prison guard, Shane Florence, while Sara Garcia plays Jennifer an intel officer and Army Major, Jennifer Morales. Patrick Sabongui stars as a CIA agent and multi-linguist Ryan Hassani.

Kyra Leroux plays Bex’s adopted daughter, Samantha Henderson. As she is away at university, she plays a recurring cast member.

When does The Hunting Party premiere on NBC?

The Hunting Party premieres on Sunday, January 19, at 7 pm ET on NBC while Peacock subscribers can stream it the following day.
