Finally, after months of fake leads and faked DNA tests, the truth is out on The Bold and the Beautiful. Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) now knows that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is her father.

He ran two DNA tests himself to be absolutely positive and then took a trip to the jailhouse where he believed that Luna was being held. He was then tipped off to the fact that she was under house arrest on Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) estate, and she answered the front door when he knocked.

The unexpected reunion between Finn and Luna quickly turned emotional when he finally told her that he wasn’t her uncle, but in actuality, her father.

Since arriving on the scene as a Forrester intern, Luna has been in search of her father. She has always believed that her life would have been infinitely better with a dad in her life.

That’s why she doctored a paternity test so that Bill Spencer would think that she was his long-lost daughter.

Of course, that unraveled quickly, and everyone believed that Tom Starr (Clint Howard), a washed-up singer, was her dad. She poisoned him to get him out of the way, and Hollis, who had the ability to bring the truth to light.

When Steffy Forrester (Jaqueline Macinnes Wood) figured out the truth, Luna drugged her too and locked her in a cage.

If Finn hadn’t figured out that Luna was on a killing spree and then found his wife, Steffy would have been her third murder. Luna went off to jail, fearing for her own life.

Even though Bill isn’t Luna’s father, he has developed enough of an attachment to her to alter his daily life so that she can serve house arrest under his roof.

Their daily conversations are mostly about how if a father had been present, maybe her life would have been different, and maybe she wouldn’t be a murderer.

A lot of smaller bombshells come with the truth. Luna’s mother, Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park), is Finn’s adoptive aunt. There is no bloodline between them, but it’s still unsettling.

Luna always talks about her mother’s lies and burning through men, and this whole situation is just a massive betrayal for both Finn and Luna.

Finn would have been a great father to Luna, so she has missed out on someone who would have contributed to her life in a positive way, and there is a lot of pain wrapped up in that reality. How will these two move forward?

Finn is hardly the kind of man to purposely abandon his child, even if she’s 22. Luna has committed horrific crimes, but Finn is carrying two decades’ worth of guilt over not being there for her. Will he insist on keeping her in his life now? And if so, just imagine the fallout!
