90 Day Fiance fans met Tania Maduro when she dated Syngin Colchester. She hailed from Groton, CT, but she has Venezuelan heritage. So, she melted down this week after President Donald Trump canceled an immigration policy she used for her family.
Tania Maduro Was Very Unpopular
In the days when the TLC cast seemed more genuine, Tania found a lot of hate. In fact, 90 Day Fiance fans were furious when she left Syngin Colchester in the US for a month to attend a Costa Rican school to study herbs. Alone with her mother, he felt uncomfortable and they clashed over alcohol. Now Tania claims the immigration changes affect her “stepmother.”
According to Axios.com, “Donald Trump … ordered Homeland Security to terminate ‘all categorical parole programs that are contrary to the policies of the United States.”… including those for refugees fleeing Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela.” And, that blew Tania Maduro away.
Tania Maduro Melts Down
Taking to Instagram a few days ago, the 90 Day Fiance star was distraught. Crying, she talked about how she used the parole program to try and bring her Venezuelan family to the USA. In her caption, she said, in part:
[Donald Trump] signed an executive order to end all parole programs, including the Humanitarian parole program I used to file for my family. I applied over two years ago for my father, my little brother and my step mother to come to the US.
Now the new administration has 99%…ended that program. This feeling of limbo and waiting to see what’s going to happen is horrible.
Raging about the president and his voters who support him, the 90 Day Fiance star also said, “I believe trump and his supporters are abhorrent.”
Some Fans Wonder Why Tania Stays In The USA
While many TLC fans felt bad for Tania, others wondered why she didn’t move to Venezuela to be with her family. After all, Reuters reported in 2023, that the country “has seen some significant improvements in its economy since 2023, particularly under the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro.”
A 90 Day Fiance fan said to Tania Maduro in the comments, “Is you going back to Venezuela not an option? I mean if it’s that serious to where it’s affecting your everyday life… why couldn’t you and your mom go back to Venezuela? … if it’s not working wouldn’t it be easier for you to return to back to Venezuela to be with them?”
Meanwhile, another TLC fan wrote, “I also have applications for family in another country. I-130, Petition for Alien Relative. Why can’t you do this?”
Tania replied to that, saying, “I said I never said I couldn’t… but additionally if/when I do.. it’s an average wait time of over 6 years to get parents here, even longer for siblings.”
