Security Scare Forces Prince Harry To Leave Invictus Games Event Early

Founded in 2014, the Invictus Games has continued to be the highlight of Prince Harry’s year. This year is no different as the event headed to Canada to take place in two separate venues located in Whistler and Vancouver.

Harry was joined by Meghan for the first few days of the games, before she headed back to Montecito to be with their children. For the next few days, Harry has enjoyed the games solo, though he is sometimes photographed enjoying beer and a chat with pals.

On Sunday’s event, an incident with the crowd caused Harry to exit the stadium early with his security team.

Reason Prince Harry Left Invictus Games Early Revealed

Prince Harry and his security detail made an early exit from a sitting volleyball event at the Invictus Games after the crowds moved towards him attempting to take selfies. At that point, his security guard stepped in to keep the crowds from getting too close to him.

hen the crowd movement towards him persisted, his security opted to take him away from the event, thereby cutting short his planned interactions with dozens of veterans and fans at the event.

Prior to the incident, he had been meeting supporters at the Vancouver Convention Center, taking pictures with people from different countries, like the Nigerian women who stood beside him for a quick snap.

When he moved to the Danish supporters’ section, he took some time to chat with Prince Joachim and Princess Marie of Denmark, who watched the games from courtside.

He was able to meet and greet Lithuanian supporters, happily joining them to bounce up and down the arena in merriment.

He was also captured animatedly speaking with paraplegic Josh Vander-Vies, though there was no record as to what was shared between them since the crowd mostly drowned their words.

When the security incident happened, Harry was on the court supporting team Canada against an upcoming match with team UK.

On that same day, Harry got to share the best bad joke he’s ever heard with Michael Harrod, who had battled testicular cancer in 2022. The Duke, 40, asked, “What is the difference between snowmen and snowwomen? Snowballs!”
