We know Prince William and Princess Kate want their children to have as normal and as private a life as possible, but even then, the royal children have from time to time made public appearances.
Even Prince Louis’ public appearances ramped up within the last two years, with the young royal even accompanying his mother to one of her engagements. However, this year will be different. Here’s why.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis Will Reportedly Be Rarely Seen In 2025
After the chaos of last year, with Princess Kate and King Charles‘ double cancer diagnosis giving birth to a huge social media storm, the Prince and Princess of Wales have reportedly reconsidered the amount of exposure they can subject their children to.
Speaking on this, Royal biographer Robert Hardman told Marie Claire that the mindset for the Wales’ this year is privacy for their children.
He said: “I don’t think we’re going to see them in any way being shunted into the public eye more than is reasonably expected. I think there’s definitely a view that we the public should not expect to see them any more than sort of official royal family gatherings.”
In fact the expert predicts that there would roughly be four public appearances set throughout the course of this year, with the first likely to take place in Easter this April when the royals go to church.
After that, the next time we may get to see them is in June for Trooping the Colour. A confirmed engagement is the Princess of Wales’ annual Christmas concert ‘Together at Christmas,’
Another probable appearance could take place during VE Day, as they join the nation to pay tribute to the end of World War II.
Editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine Ingrid Seward agreed with Hardman’s analysis, saying, “I think that we won’t see quite so much of them this year.” She added: “Hopefully we’ll see them on VE day.”
This goes in line with what an insider previously confirmed, “Kate has always wanted the children to live in the real world. She and William don’t want them to live in a gilded bubble. They want them to grow up having the same experiences as other kids.”
While the Wales children are set to have a more private year, their overseas cousins Archie and Lilibet are making more online appearances via their mother’s Instagram account.
