Reason Prince Harry Chose This Moment To Settle His News Group Newspapers Legal Battle

It was undoubtedly a surprising development to learn that the dragon slayer, aka Prince Harry, has decided to settle his lawsuit against The Sun publisher NGN for a “substantial” amount of money.

Said “substantial” amount of money is reportedly in the 8-figure range, and even though Harry still has legal fees to settle, he is undoubtedly going home with a big sum.

Since he’s clearly not going down the path his big brother took by donating his settlement money, why indeed did he settle, and why now?

He’s always promised that his decision to sue British newspapers was to hold them accountable, and yes, while we may congratulate him for going the distance, settling isn’t exactly the accountability he boasted about, now is it?

Prince Harry Could Possibly Have Settled To Avoid Overshadowing Meghan Markle’s Cooking Show

Meghan Markle’s Netflix show, ‘With Love, Meghan,’ was recently postponed due to the LA fires.

While it may not seem like much, the cooking show is one of the last lifelines that the couple have in proving to Hollywood that they’ve still got things to offer. So in a way, a lot is riding on it, and Harry knows that.

According to Journalist and royal commentator Amanda Platell, Harry likely settled his NGN dispute to avoid overshadowing Meghan Markle’s upcoming project, which is already not getting enough love.

She wrote for MailOnline: “Was he worried that a drawn-out battle would overshadow Meghan’s new Netflix cooking show, ‘With Love, Meghan’, due to launch on March 4?

After all, with the passionate yet not-so-bright Duke in the witness box, the headlines about Harry and the press might have eclipsed everything about Meghan in the kitchen.”

“And the Sussexes, with their multi-millionaire lifestyle in California, are said to be pinning their financial hopes on the new show after the collapse of their $20 million Spotify deal.”

Harry would have taken the stand for cross-examination and questioning over the course of four days had the legal battle continued.

On the other hand, Meghan’s cooking show is set to more or less launch her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, though we hear so very little about the brand nowadays.
