Pumpkin Efird Rumors: Is The WETV Star Single Again?

Pumpkin Efird, AKA Lauryn Shannon rumors arose on social media last week, suggesting that the WETV star is single again. Has she dumped her new boyfriend, Darrin Kitchens? Mama June fans also wondered if her next relationship would be with a woman. Read on for more details.

Darrin Kitchens Is Toast?

Mama June fans don’t like Darrin because apparently, he’s a relative of Pumpkin’s ex, Josh Efird. Rumors swept social media claiming that the WETV star cheated on Josh with his own cousin. So, fans think it’s a horrible situation, especially as she and Josh had four kids together.

Ever since fans met Darrin Kitchens, they have been slamming Pumpkin. In fact, a photo in early February that showed him looking pregnant, pretending to have boobs, or something else, got a lot of mockery. So, critics typically hope that the couple split. This week, on Reddit, rumors  arrived of her being single again. 

How The Rumor Started 

U/heyodesiree posted that they saw Pumpkin’s Facebook page and her status changed. However, it’s not easy to find out which page. After all, there are several of them under Lauryn Shannon, Honey Boo Boo, and more. Anyway, on Friday, the OP wrote:

Pumpkin’s single again
Sometime over the past few days Pumpkin’s relationship status on Facebook went to single..
Who do yall think she will shack up with next?

Most people didn’t question whether the Mama June star had kicked Darrin to the curb or not. However, some folks wondered if Pumpkin Efird would date a woman next. Here are some of those comments:

• …she’s gonna be with a lesbian next. Bet.
• Wasn’t she in high school. I swear she posted she was gay back then. Pre Josh obviously.
• Yeah her and June both came out as bisexual around that time I think.
• I don’t know. She may have been. But if she didn’t (even if she did) she’s gonna find out now!

Are fans of the show confusing Pumpkin with Jessica Shannon who is in a same-sex relationship? Well, no, they are not. Way back in 2016, The Daily Mail UK chatted with June Shannon and her daughter, Lauryn. 

Lauryn Is Bisexual?

In the article, the outlet cited the two Mama June stars as admitting to bisexuality. Although the article focused on the engagement of Pumpkin and Josh Efird, she said, “You cannot hide who you truly are.” The story also noted, “Last year Pumpkin and her mother both revealed that they are bisexual during an interview with Inside Edition.”

In the current Reddit discussion, one follower reminded everyone, “There was a whole storyline on [Here Comes Honey Boo Boo] HCHBB about Pumpkin coming out.”
