As per palace sources, a major Prince George decision is still to be decided on, despite his uncle Prince Harry’s warning.
The young Prince will be turning 12 in July, and with that comes a major lifestyle change. As he prepares to leave Lambrook school behind to venture into his secondary school life, where will he eventually find himself: at his father’s alma mater or his mother’s?
Prince Harry’s Eton Days Weren’t His Best As Reports Surface Prince George Visited School
Prince George reportedly visited Eton College with his parents prior to traveling for their Easter break in Paris. Last update we got from the location was when Prince William and George attended an away Aston Villa match with PSG.
The dad of three and his eldest son made the internet’s day with their joyful celebration when Aston Villa – William’s favorite club – scored the first goal at over the 30 minutes mark.
Okay, back to George’s secondary school future: it is said that his parents are torn in between Eton College, where William and Harry spent most of their adolescent and teen years from Monday to Friday with various other students more or less their age, and Marlborough College.
“It’s the talk of the school, and of the parents,” a source close to the Berkshire college told the Mail of the royal’s surprise visit.
According to the source, the 11-year-old was shown around the place, including the dorm where he would likely stay if he followed in his father’s footsteps.
William might have thrived at the £63,000-per-year institution, but Harry didn’t. In ‘Spare,’ the Duke of Sussex recounted his time at the institution, writing that since Eton was designed to be “heaven for brilliant boys, it could thus only be purgatory for one very unbrilliant boy.”
This will definitely give the Wales couple a lot to think about regarding their son’s future.
Another thing to consider is if he’s going to thrive at an all males school or at a mixed school. Princess Kate is said to prefer the second option, and is reportedly pushing for him to attend the £59,000-per-year Marlborough College instead.
