Prince Harry and Meghan Named ‘Grief Vultures’ After They Tour Palisades Fire Damage

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are the topic of the day online. What did they do? Oh, they just decided to take a tour of the Palisades Fire to see the extent of the damage.

They took a few photos and were captured on video a few times for people to start saying that they’re there for attention. It did not help that actress Justine Bateman called them out for being “ambulance chasers” and “disaster tourists.”

People do not understand why two citizens who have no official status are allowed to tour the fire damage in LA when the people affected couldn’t. And this misunderstanding – if you want to call it that – is leading some people to lash out at the Duchess and her husband, Harry.

One of those people was Justine Bateman, who took to social media to write, “Meghan Markle and Harry are no better than ambulance chasers. What a repulsive “photo op” they achieved. They are “touring the damage”? Are they politicians now? They don’t live here; they are tourists.”

“Disaster Tourists,” she concluded.

A royal fan agreed with Bateman, writing, “They had no business going to LA especially when people couldn’t even tour their own homes to see if they were still standing. They are nobody’s that seem to think they have any influence. The mayor and everyone that went along with the charade should be ashamed of themselves. People are struggling and fires still need to be put out.”

Another chose to see the couple as “grief vultures,” switching their heads for those of vultures in the snap where they toured the damage and writing, “GRIEF VULTURES: People who try to co-opt their grief for their own attention and gain. They are “professionals” who swoop from one tragedy to the next, desperate to feel like they belong.”

Others chose to defend the couple’s right to be there by saying that their charity donated to the kitchen serving food to the displaced.
