Prince Harry And Meghan Appalled Over Latest Backlash, Confirms Their Worst Fears

The video of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle strutting around the destroyed properties in the wake of the Palisades Fire was, needless to say, not well-received by many.

The rationalization was that if people can’t be allowed to see their homes, which were destroyed in the blaze, why should the Duke and Duchess be? After all, they do not represent anybody in any official capacity.

One of their major critics this time round turned out to be – if you can believe it – actress Justine Bateman. Now the couple are feeling like they’re stuck in a “damned if they do and damned if they don’t” situation.

Before we proceed, it is important to note that Los Angeles is Meghan Markle’s hometown, so it wasn’t so surprising that the Duchess would want to help during a disaster of this magnitude. It’s also not very surprising that she would want to be hands-on with the charity organizations catering to the displaced.

What’s somewhat surprising was the need to tour the damage. And this has been the bone of contention since the couple took a turn round the destroyed properties.

However, a source is now telling Page Six that the couple find it “offensive” that anyone “would think this is merely a photo opportunity.”

A separate source also disclosed to Heat that Harry and Meghan are beyond furious at the turn their latest goodwill outing had taken.

The source told Heat: “Meghan and Harry are stunned and appalled at the criticism they’ve endured over all this. It confirms what they already knew to a big extent, that they can’t win, no matter what they do. Their haters will always be out in force, finding any way possible to tear them down.”

“For Meghan, especially, it cuts extremely deep and touches a major nerve. This is her home city burning to the ground, she wants to help.”

Harry, according to the source, wants Meghan to be the bigger person and turn the other cheek, but it does get to the two of them equally. “Harry is telling her how proud he is and that the only way to handle it is to turn the other cheek. But, of course, it gets them down and hurts like hell for both of them.”
