Olivia Plath has been getting candid about her relationship with her ex, Ethan Plath, on social media.
Several times, she talked about her marriage, claiming she suffered abuse at the hands of the Welcome to Plathville star. This week, she returned with more details about abuse without bruising.
The New Details About Abuse
On Thursday this week, the TLC star returned to Instagram and spoke about how just because there are no bruises, it doesn’t mean that someone isn’t living in an abusive situation.
Previously, she talked about how she ended up feeling “trapped” without access to “a vehicle.” Allegedly, she’d also been sleeping on the floor. That’s when she decided to get out of the union.
This week, in her video, Olivia spoke in her reel but she also wrote a caption. “Also, driving erratically and dangerously and refusing to let me leave the vehicle,” she said. Then she added, “Previously, he flipped a car I was in because he was out of control as the driver.”

Allegedly, they “landed upside down in a ditch in a crushed car.” Much more followed when she spoke.
Abuse Without Bruises
Olivia Plath told her followers, “I understand that domestic violence is a big, generic, scary word.” However, keeping women in an abusive situation without physical violence “keeps women in a dangerous situation.” Talking about keeping a journal, Ethan’s ex said that she wrote, ‘I think I might be experiencing abuse, but I’m not sure.”‘
Further details emerged, and she talked about how, because she “didn’t have bruises,” she feared that “people wouldn’t believe” her. Then, she listed some bad things that allegedly happened to her during her relationship with Ethan Plath. She noted:
- He threatened to shoot her friends who he named.
- He told Olivia he was buying guns to restore order. But later, he said he didn’t buy them, admitting he just wanted to scare her.
- He slammed a chair into the bar to intimidate her physically.
- He also looked her in the eye, and said very low, “be careful what you say,” when filming about her split.
- In Italy, he got drunk and took the door off the hinges, and refused to allow her to be by herself in a room.
- She wasn’t allowed to leave the house and didn’t have access to a car to escape.
Anyway, so it went on. And it did sound abusive to many of her followers.
Finding Support From Veronica Peters
In the comments section, Veronica, who broke up with Micah Path after an allegedly violent fight with Isaac, said, “Sending Love.” Of course, although Veronica wasn’t complimentary to Olivia Plath on the TLC show, she now has her regrets as well and claimed that Micah couldn’t possibly love anyone.
Fans seemed pleased that the two women have bonded. One of them wrote, “I’m sure @totally_veronica has gone through her own unpacking of stuff and the fact that they can now support each other speaks volumes!”
