Meghan Markle’s New Cringy Video Is A PR Disaster For These Reasons

Meghan Markle has found herself back in the target line for what many see as an over-the-top cringy video she made to once again pull at heartstrings and showcase just how good of a person she is.

I mean, some celebrities can be cringe, but many believe Meghan owns the whole cake when it comes to making cringy moves.

Some suggest that she could have let the girl announce the good deed, instead of rushing to make a video even before alerting the receivers of said good deed.

Meghan Markle has been the hot topic online since she took her phone, shot a self-serving video, and uploaded it. It’s left fans questioning her humility and sense of purpose: is Meghan Markle going to do a good deed if the rest of the world doesn’t know about it?

Well, this good deed involved the Duchess, 43, securing a Billie Eilish merch for a young friend she met during her tour of the damage done in the wake of the Palisades Fire.

In the video, she told the story of how she met the young girl, 15, and her mother after they had rummaged through their burnt home and collected some items.

Meghan continued: “And her mom shared something with me and said that when they came back to see their house for the first time, which was as we were meeting them, that all that she’d been looking for in her home was the t shirt from the Billie Eilish concert that she had just gone to, that she left in the washing machine or the dryer.”

“And of course, they now see their home in the washing machine the dryer are ash. They’re not there anymore. And so I said, I don’t know Billie Eilish, but I’m gonna figure out how to get you this shirt. So I thought of everybody that I knew, and I made a voice note, and I was like, please, can someone get this voice note to Billie Eilish, here’s what I’m asking guys.”

She then name-dropped Adam Levine and his model wife Behati Prinsloo, thanking them for helping her get through to the “Bad Guy” hitmaker. All this was done while she wore a custom-made sweater with her children’s names embroidered on.

The end result of all this storytelling was that fans doubted the legitimacy of the story – residents hadn’t been allowed to visit their burnt houses at the time – and then called her out for being a hypocrite.
