Meghan Markle's Choice Of Branding Resembles More Oprah Winfrey Than Royalty

Meghan Markle’s new cooking show is coming to Netflix this Jan. 15th, complete with eight 33-minute episodes, and it’s far enough away from her royal connections that fans may not use that yoke to hang her anymore.

Empasis on “may not.” In fact, the Duchess wanted to keep all things royalty to a bare minimum that she opted not to use her royal title in the trailer.

So, ‘With Love, Meghan’ is the 43-year-old’s return to her lifestyle ways, with expert advice on entertaining, cooking and simply enjoying the simple things in life with friends. P.S. there’s Mindy Kaling.

Meghan Markle Takes Her Boldest Step Yet To Revamp Image From Royalty to Influencer

On Jan. 15, you will see a Duchess cook, clean, and entertain. But according to brand expert Nick Ede, those won’t be all that we’ll be seeing.

We’ll also be seeing a “bold” Meghan work hard to win fans over without the glitz and glamour of royalty.

Nick opined that the move is a “very positive step” that will see her move further into the New Year.

Nick continued: “It’ll be a brilliant way to build her brand identity and she could become the new Martha Stewart with the heavyweight of Netflix behind her. It’s going to reveal to the world what Meghan loves, it shows that Meghan had a passion for food and cooking.”

The show will benefit Meghan in more ways than one, as it would reportedly kickstart the launch of her brand, American Riviera Orchard. Items from the brand are rumored to have been used on the show.

Speaking of a “positive” direction for the former American actress, Meghan surprised fans when she returned to Instagram with an old account and uploaded her first post in years.

What Meghan Markle’s Cooking Show Could Mean For Her Lifestyle Brand

Weighing in on the benefits of the show to her brand, Nick Ede said: “If the show is a success then this will be the perfect way for her to launch a cookbook and the American Riviera Orchard Brand, which she has been testing for nearly a year. It’s the best way for fans to see Meghan as she really is rather than causing controversy.

Nich added, “With the use of the word joy, she’s going to show the world what makes her feel full of joyfulness. She and Netflix will be wanting to make sure it does the same for fans and subscribers. She’s a foodie and she loves to cook so creating a show about joy in the kitchen with new and old friends is perfect for her.”

So New Year, old Meghan Markle, but better.
