Matt Jlassi Struggles With Popularity & Engagement

Matt Jlassi, Amani, and Any Aguirre on 90 Day Fiance Seaosn 11 are not getting a lot of TLC fans. In particular, it seems that viewers simply don’t support Matt with his Seeking Sister Wife angle of being a throuple like Garrick and Dannielle Merrifield. 

Six Episodes In – Few Followers

Matt might be quite new to social media, but he appeared with Amani on How to Get Rich on Netflix. So, it’s likely that he had some sort of fanbase. Six episodes in, TLC fans saw the throuple set new rules for their relationship. However, engagement on his Instagram account seems very low.

So far, Matt has found 1,150 followers, which isn’t huge for a reality TV star. None of his posts exceed 300 likes, and comments seem very limited. For example, a day ago, he shared a photo of himself with Amani and Any and captioned it with, “Nothing better than wine country.” Additonally, he added a few hashtags:

So far, only 10 people commented, and 147 folks dropped a like. Given their so-called controversial polyamorous relationship, one might expect a lot more reactions. However, it seems that viewers think he used a friendship with Liz Woods to secure his casting. 

On The Wrong Show 

Obviously, many people think that Matt Jlassi and Amani saw Garrick and Danielle and thought it might be a good thing to be as controversial as they are. However, if that was the aim, it seems to be backfiring badly. Many viewers simply don’t buy into it, or they hate the casual approach to sleeping with multiple women,

When the show aired a teaser for the “Love is the Absence of Judgment” episode, people in the comments section grumbled about the casting of the throuple. One viewer wrote, “I sincerely hope the other girl don’t get a visa. Why would you divorce your current wife in order to marry again with the other one? I hope the USCIS sees that and rejects [them]. Seriously this world is f***ed up!”

Another person expressed their dissatisfaction with Matt Jlassi and his two women, writing, “TLC…Please stop promoting this BS.”

No To Weird Relationships

It seems that many fans of the dating show have become fed up with the network promoting out-of-the-ordinary couples. In fact, some people wish for the days of people like Nicole and Azan. Here’s another example of their irritation with Seaosn 11:

[The show] has seriously gone off the rails. It’s not about the struggle to find love in another country and bring the other person to the US anymore. I’ve noticed a definite trend towards more provocative story lines in the last few seasons

Angry, they think TLC is being used by some of these people to satisfy their “need for…attention,” concluding, “This show is disgusting.”
