Kody Brown From Sister Wives Is Quiet On Social Media, Why?

Sister Wives star Kody Brown is very quiet on social media, and a recent mention by his daughter, Mykelti Padron, got TLC fans wondering why. He shared a YouTube link on X in early January, but that came six months after his previous post. 

Quiet On Social Media 

The patriarch of the TLC family doesn’t have an official, active TikTok account. And, over on Instagram, he posted very infrequently. In fact, the last time he posted was nearly a year ago when he announced the death of Garrison Brown. The previous year, he shared that he and Meri Brown split. 

It was Mykelti Padron who sparked the interest of Sister Wives fans this weekend. It came when she talked about her dad carrying a “selfie stick” around with him. Perhaps he uses it for Cameo, where he sells video messages to fans who then shred him on social media. 

Redditors Discuss The Selfie Stick

On Reddit, u/reality_titties95 shared an old photo of Kody Brown with his selfie stick when he exited a gym, and wrote:

So Mykelti wasn’t lying when she said Kody walks around with a selfie stick everywhere he goes…so embarrassing. Imagine a grown man…just casually carrying around a selfie stick inside the gas station, random shops, and everywhere he goes lol.”

A notable mention was the fact that the Sister Wives star was “by himself and just has a selfie stick casually attached to his entire phone.” 

Why So Silent On Social Media?

As the selfie stick seems almost permanently attached to Kody Brown, the OP, and other fans, wondered why he doesn’t do more on social media. After all, he could get enough engagement to help finance Robyn Brown’s assumed shopping addiction.

Of course, most of the engagement might be hateful and full of trolls. But, he’s probably already aware that lots of viewers of the show can’t stand him. After all, when he did post on the old Twitter, people gave Kody a lot of heat. One fan suggested he stayed away since “…he started getting called out as an abuser.”

Another Sister Wives fan agreed, writing, “Exactly narcissists only avoid feeling their own shame when they aren’t able to change the narrative and rewrite history.”

One thing all of the commenters seem to agree on is that there’s a missed opportunity to help fund his lifestyle. One contributor wrote, “Honestly, for the amount of money he’d probably generate, I’d do it and ignore it. 😂 I mean, we all drink his brand of hateraide anyway. If you wanna be the villain, go all in is my motto.”
