King Charles & Camilla Entered Into This Unique Agreement Before Tying the Knot

It’s natural for someone to want or need something before entering the marriage state with a partner, and, as it turns out, it’s just one of the things the royals have in common with us.

If you can remember, Charles and Camilla had a really small wedding to avoid incurring the wrath of the British people.

At the time, the union was also speedily granted since they couldn’t produce children. But we’re now learning that one important agreement was made prior to the couple’s wedding.

Queen Camilla Wanted To Keep This Even After Marriage To King Charles

If there’s a second-chance romance story to boast about, it certainly isn’t Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s. Sorry, I couldn’t resist. But seriously, Charles and Camilla have been going strong ever since they tied the knot in 2005.

Yeah, there was a lot of drama in between and that tends to nowadays overshadow their love story, but it’s still a love story nonetheless. Personally, I think that if Charles and Camilla’s love story were a storybook one, we’d be more open to it.

The thing is, these two childhood sweethearts didn’t need anybody’s permission to tie the knot. They just needed each other’s. And one of the ways Charles gained Camilla’s was by agreeing to her one important request.

“Before Charles and Camilla got married, they agreed Camilla would keep her home,” the former royal gardener at Highgrove, Jack Stooks, tattled in a chat with JeffBet.

“The separate space was important for them both and their families,” he continued. In that way, Charles has his private spot thanks to the Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, and Camilla has Ray Mill House in Wiltshire.

Jack noted: “Charles enjoys time alone and he’s got a very strong work ethic. He’s been known to work at his desk into the early hours.”

On the other hand, Camilla gets to spend meaningful moments with her children and grandchildren from her prior marriage to Tom Parker Bowles in her own private sanctuary.

As for the reason the couple’s love has endured the scrutiny and pressures of the spotlight, Jack opined, “They’re both independent people and don’t mind time apart. The fact they don’t live in each other’s pockets is one of the many reasons their marriage works.”
