Katy Perry Goes To Space, Fans Think She Should Sit The Heck Down

Katy Perry, formerly a judge on American Idol is going to space. And, on social media, some people think the singer-songwriter lost her mind. On February 27, some people cautioned her and one of them said, “…sit the hell down and be still.” Read on for more details and reactions.

Who Is Going To Space?

According to The New York Times, the mission to space includes “Gayle King.” If you don’t know, she’s well-known for hosting on CBS Mornings, and more. The outlet noted that the mission by controversial Katy Perry highlights the fact that the space mission involves an all-female crew. Arranged by “Jeff Bezos’ company, Blue Origin,” they will jet off on the “New Shepard” rocket. 

The American Idol judge and her sidekick won’t be alone on the space tourism mission. And, it seems they will be in good company alongside:

Aisha Bowe, a former NASA engineer; Amanda Nguyen, a research scientist; Kerianne Flynn, a film producer; and Lauren Sánchez, who is Mr. Bezos’ fiancée and a helicopter pilot.

Rans React, Is The Singer Mad?

Firstly, some reactions indicate that that fans of the singer worry because she’s a mom. Meanwhile, others wonder why she would go anywhere in anything that travels in the sky. After all, 2025 hasn’t been easy for aviation so far this year. When the Instagram account of Hollywood Unlocked shared the news, many people reacted. 

One follower immediately retorted,“Shiddddd the way 2025 going I wouldn’t advise this at all! We just need to sit the hell down and be still.”

Others agreed, and they think Gayle King and Katy Perry should stay on the ground. Either that, or they should rescue the NASA astronauts stranded on the  International Space Station for nearly a year.
