Josh Seiter Interest Is High Among Bachelorette Fans, Did He Really Die?

Josh Seiter, who briefly appeared on The Bachelorette, raises skepticism among ABC fans after his second alleged death in two years. After a February 18 Instagram post claimed he had died of cardiac arrest in Mexico, bizarre developments left many questioning whether this is another one of his hoaxes. However, folks are still talking about the story of whether he really died or not. 

No Record of Death at The USA Embassy

A journalist on X (formerly Twitter) claimed to have contacted the USA Embassy in Mexico regarding Josh Seiter’s alleged death. According to their reports, there’s no record of it, which seems puzzling. Already skeptical, that naturally fuels more doubt about the death announcement. Remember, the Bachelorette alum who loves pursuing TLC stars faked his own death before.

On February 19, journalist @SarahisCensored on platform X shared a post where they claimed:

I called the US Embassy in Mexico to verify these reports. They have not received any notifications of Josh Seiter’s de*th. In every case, as explained by an embassy staff member, “Usually when these situations happen, the police will notify us…”

Additionally, Sarah verified her claim, as she also shared a voice recording of her call in the comments. Plus she said that she made a missing person report. No further updates arrived on the whereabouts of the former Bachelorette contestant. But, ABC fans are still asking about it. 

A Burner Account & Life Celebration?

On social media, X user @thenoasletter suggested sleuths dug up a “burner Reddit account” linked to Josh. Allegedly, someone claiming to be Josh asked if Bachelorette fans planned to attend his funeral. If it is his account–which isn’t verifiable–then it lines up with his past where he claimed he was trans but wasn’t and said he did it as a “social experiment.”

Other issues center around, “The Team” claiming on social media that there was a “celebration of life” event in Texas. However, photos and other evidence seem as scarce as hens’ teeth. One X user, @brokebackstan, joked on February 28, “I need to know if anyone showed up to the ‘celebration of life’ he presumably held for himself this week.”

Additionally, they asked in the comments, “So has anyone figured out if josh seiter is actually dead or not.” However, nobody seems to know. 

Public Reaction So Far

The public’s reaction to Josh’s alleged death seems to be a mix of skepticism, humor, and frustration. Many ABC fans are quick to point out that mainstream media dropped the story and it can, therefore, be presumed to be a hoax. As the mystery surrounding Josh Seiter’s alleged death continues, it seems that nobody’s buying into the story.
