Is This Finally The Breaking Point For B&B The Brooke, Ridge, And Taylor Triangle?

‘Tridge’ is a story that has been spinning on The Bold and the Beautiful for decades. Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) has flip-flopped between Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) since the 90s.

Brooke is supposedly his “destiny,” the one that entertains his fantasies, while Taylor is stable, the mother of his children, and offers a deeper connection.

He decides which woman he wants to be with then changes his mind, and for whatever reason, they always take him back.

Brooke And Ridge Reunited Not So Long Ago And Swore It Was Forever

It was less than two years ago that Brooke and Ridge reconnected and decided that this was it, they were soulmates meant to spend the rest of their years together.

Their history sure has been long enough that it seemed possible for them to reconnect at this stage in their lives and put their relationship on lock, for real, finally. She was his “Logan,” and he was her “destiny.”

Brooke and Ridge began working together again on Brooke’s Bedroom line and he put her on a pedestal of what beauty is for a woman of a certain age, and we praised him for it. They were looking pretty darn solid until Taylor breezed back into town.

Taylor Has Traded In Broken Heart Syndrome For An Inevitable Broken Heart, Again

Taylor returned to Los Angeles thinking that she was dying of heart failure. In a twist, she learned that it was a condition known as broken heart syndrome, a condition that mimics heart failure.

Of course, Ridge jumped in to support his ex-wife and eventually helped to kickstart her healing. That’s more than a little ironic since he is the one who broke her heart in the first place!

Ridge Swaps Wives’ Like Usual

As usual, the moment Brooke did something that Ridge didn’t approve of he found his way back into Taylor’s arms.

This time, after Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) took over Forrester Creations, Brooke took the CEO position, to try and get the company back for Ridge. He saw it as a betrayal rather than helpful and moved out. Within literal hours Ridge was in bed with Taylor.

Taylor is finally feeling better and has just set herself up for more hurt. Whenever Ridge leaves Brooke and runs back to Taylor, it never lasts. It is his way of temporarily feeling loved and supported while nursing his own broken heart.

What If Both Brooke And Taylor Leave Ridge In The End?

Brooke seems to be pining for Ridge when she actually should be furious with him. He has said malicious, viscous things about her daughter, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle).

Sure, he is furious and likely running his mouth, but in the real world, a mother would have a breaking point. Would her soulmate say such awful things about her girl?

For as brilliant as Taylor is supposed to be, she still has blinders on when it comes to her ex. Otherwise, she would see the obvious hurt in his eyes and realize that he is likely to run back to Brooke, or at least try to.

If Taylor was smart, she would take a few steps back from Ridge rather than shopping for a new beach house with him. How do you think that this triangle will shake out this time around?
