Inside Prince Harry’s Failed Friendships Post-Meghan Markle

It doesn’t take a lot to see that Prince Harry’s life drastically changed when he walked down the aisle in 2018 after years of searching for his bride.

If we state the obvious ones, then for one thing he became the Duke of Sussex. Perhaps you can remember that time he said people in the Monarchy don’t become useful unless they’re married.

The second, and probably most obvious one checking from the degree it made headlines, was that he and his wife stepped down from their roles as senior royals for a life of freedom and adventure in America.

This life of freedom and adventure did not begin, however, until they’ve aired their grievances against the Royal Family.

But his family isn’t all that Harry has lost since Meghan Markle happened, he’s also lost some of his tightest pals.

It didn’t take long after Harry’s marriage for rumors to surface that Meghan’s woke pandering has driven some of his friends off, especially since the rumors say the Duchess does not like to be contradicted.

Well, rumors and speculations aside, British comedian Jack Whitehall recently revealed he had some “fun” moments with Prince Harry back when he was a “terror.”

“I’ve come into contact with a couple of [the royals] in the past. I was quite good friends with Harry back in the day. Pre-Meghan, when he was a terror,” Whitehall, 36, told the breakfast radio hosts on NovaFM’s Jase & Lauren show.

When asked if he can indeed confirm whether the Duke dropped his mates after meeting Meghan, Whitehall replied, “yeah.”

2016 was a good time for the two pals – Whitehall and Harry, I mean – as they’d had “a few nights out together” and he was “quite fun.”

This was prior to meeting Meghan of course. The following year, Harry’s life drastically changed when he publicly announced his engagement to American actress Meghan Markle. Other famous friends to fall by the way side include David Beckham and actor Dominic West.

In 2019, insiders became convinced that Harry was freezing out some of his old contacts, including former best friend Tom “Skippy” Inskip and Astrid Harbord.

“Like several others who were considered a questionable influence on Harry during his bad old bachelor days, Tom has been dropped, even though he himself now has a lovely wife, Lara,” a source told the UK’s Express at the time.

“It’s all part of Meghan’s quiet airbrushing out of Harry’s old posse. She doesn’t want temptation — of any sort — being put in his way while they concentrate on starting a family.”
