How Will Prince Harry's Relationship With the Spencers Fare In Light Of The Latest Court Battle

A new form of family tension could possibly be brewing for Prince Harry, and for once the drama is not coming from his father’s side.

Countess Karen Spencer has chosen to have Harry’s lawyer David Sherborne represent her in her ongoing legal battle against Earl Spencer.

Now most of us know that Earl Spencer is more or less among the only Spencers who gets along well with Harry, even inviting him to stay in the Spencer mansion where his late mother grew up for the holidays. Needless to say, this new move might drive uncle and nephew further apart.

Earl Spencer’s Estranged Wife Takes Him To Court Over His Method of Breakup

According to new court documents filed by Earl Spencer’s estranged wife, Countess Karen Spencer, the brother of the Princess of Wales allegedly broke off their 13 year marriage by text.

Karen became his third wife when they tied the knot in 2011. Shortly after, they welcomed their daughter Charlotte Diana, who is now 11 years old.

According to Karen, it was a crappy move to end their relationship via a text message after they shares years of their lives together.

“He did this by text message,” she wrote as per the court documents.

It continued, “Having given up her life in the United States, in order to live in the middle of rural Northamptonshire and dedicate herself to sorting out the Althorp Estate business, as well as having a child, the news was hideous for Lady Spencer.”

Daily Mail also obtained an email Countess Karen wrote Earl Spencer’s new girlfriend Cat Jarman, 49, which expressed her disappointment in Jarman, and warned her that life with the Earl is not all rosy and bright.

In response to Karen’s claims, he broke his marriage off via text, Earl Spencer wrote to The Independent: “The notion that I would end my marriage by text is an absurd attempt to blacken my name.

Karen ended the marriage, after endless threats to do so over the years, in early March. She asked me to confirm the end of the marriage in a text of 18 March and my reply that day was a simple acceptance of her decision. I have those texts still, and will share them in court when I clear my name.”
