GH Spoilers: Will Ava And Ric Team Up For More Than Business?

While General Hospital (GH) has been exploding (literally) with drama several potential couples are starting to emerge. Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) are one of the duos leading the way.

General Hospital Spoilers – Two Pariahs with Great Chemistry 

When Ric first decided to take Ava’s case and get her off the hook for the death of Kristina Corinthos’ unborn baby, it was a completely self-serving move.

Ric’s daughter, Molly Lansing (Kristen Vaganos), was supposed to be adopting the baby. He felt that if he could prove Ava’s innocence it would help Molly to make peace with the accident, rather than living the rest of her life blaming particular people.

Ric’s plan worked. Ava is free and Molly is healing from the hurt. So now what? Ric is still on Ava’s payroll despite her having limited funds right now.

What started as a business arrangement has clearly turned into more. Ric believes in Ava’s innocence and knows exactly what it is like to be hated by just about everyone in Port Charles.

G H – Birds Of A Feather 

It makes perfect sense that Ava and Ric would naturally gravitate towards each other. They are both good in business, can easily manipulate those around them, and both place their daughters’ as their top priority, despite being labeled as “bad” parents. They understand each other without needing to explain everything.

Fans have been clamoring for months for the writers to give Ava a real storyline. There was a moment when it looked like she was going to get romantic with John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) but GH killed him off just as fans were getting behind the pairing. Ava still needs romance- and so does Ric.

The duo are opposite sides of the same coin and they are always scene stealers. Remember when they showed up for Christmas at Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) and they snarked their way through watching Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) interact?

Even the in-between moments for Ava and Ric give fans something to enjoy. What do you think of these two together? Should General Hospital give us an Ava and Ric pairing? If not, who would you rather see these characters with?
