General Hospital spoilers and updates pose the question, where is TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow)? He hasn’t been seen in a while, is he gone for good?
Fans Have Watched TJ Grown And Change Through The Years
Fans of GH have witnessed the evolution of TJ Ashford over the years, but a wave of concern is sweeping through the community.
Some speculate that they might have seen the character’s final moments. Social media is buzzing with questions about the potential fate of TJ, as fans ponder the soap’s next moves.
Since his debut in 2012, TJ has been a significant presence on the show, originally introduced as a teenager taken under the wing of Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore).
Shawn was a close friend of his deceased father, who tragically lost his life in battle to friendly fire, and later was revealed as TJ’s birth father.
‘Tolly’ Became A Thing
Over the years, TJ gained significant recognition for his deep connection with Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos); by 2021, they took the step to become civil partners.
Their journey was particularly marked by their heartfelt desire to start a family, yet both surrogacy attempts ended in heartbreak, inevitably taking a toll on the bond between Molly and TJ.
As a result, fans have begun to express their concerns for TJ’s well-being. On Reddit, one user posed the question, “How long is TJ gonna stay missing?-the fan elaborated, “They broke up his pairing and now they don’t know what to do with him. He can’t be on to save a life at the hospital or have dinner with friends because they made Molly his whole world, so without her he’s irrelevant.”
Contract Negotiations?
A fan expressed their belief that the situation might stem from concerns regarding Tajh Bellow, the actor currently playing TJ. They mentioned, “I heard his contract is expiring this month. So, I think we’ll have clarity on this in a few weeks.”
Additionally, the fan voiced their frustration with how the soap opera handles its younger male characters, stating, “I really dislike the way they portray the young men on this show. They’re not permitted to be too strong or tough, and they can’t be portrayed as overly intelligent either.”
Some Fans Suspect A Replacement Happened
Fans kept the conversation buzzing, reminiscing about the past: “I recall a time when soap operas had a better sense of balance, back 20 years ago. The writing back then truly resonated with me-nowadays, the portrayal of men under 40 seems lacking”-many others chimed in, echoing similar worries.
Some speculated that new characters were being groomed to fill TJ’s shoes on the show; others pondered the potential ripple effects of his departure on the storyline. Yet, a number of fans expressed their fondness for TJ, lamenting the possibility of his exit; comments like, “I can’t help but wonder if he’s really leaving. We’ll know for sure in a few weeks. I suspect Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) might be stepping in for him,” reflected their mixed emotions.
Fans Continued Their Speculations
“It’s truly unfortunate that the hospital is facing such a severe shortage of doctors; and considering he’s the son of Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), how could she possibly not notice his absence?
I’ve been finding the show more enjoyable lately, but I would be quite frustrated if he doesn’t make a reappearance soon. He vanished just like Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) and Felix DuBois (Marc Samuel), likely to remain offscreen.
That is, unless they choose to reveal that the surrogate didn’t actually have a miscarriage, potentially introducing their child in about 15 years. For years, TJ had very few storylines, and honestly, if it weren’t for the surrogacy plot, I doubt we would have seen much of him last year.
