General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Cameron Mathison is surprised by the fans reactions to Drew Quartermaine and his relationship with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen). Despite the blacklash from fans, Cameron is rooting for Drew and Willow.
General Hospital Spoilers – Drew Quartermaine’s Drastic Change
General Hospital spoilers indicate that Drew has made major changes recently. Mathison was best known or his role as Ryan Lavery on All My Children.
However, Mathison has starred in Hallmark and GAC movies as well as his other interests, such as his new gameshow, The Bridge. Mathison gave an interview in Woman’s World where his discussed the changes in his alter ego.
Mathison said, “It was a dramatic change. What I noticed the most is how the rest of Port Charles talks about Drew. People hate him! With all the things the Quartermaines have done, with all Jason and Sonny have done, a little infidelity is making Drew the evilest person alive.” Of course, Drew has been messing around with his nephew’s wife and her mother.
GH Spoilers – What Can Fans Expect Next?
Mathison admits that he is a huge fan of Willow and Drew’s relationship. Mathison believes that this could be one of the greatest love stories of all time.
However, this didn’t start out as a love story at all. Drew ended up in a relationship with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) before he and Willow began sneaking around behind everyone’s back.
Mathison says, “I love love stories, and this could be the making of a really cool one… if the show decides to do that. In soaps, sometimes love stories start in complete dysfunction, mistakes, and betrayal, and everyone freaks out… but then the couple comes together.” Of course, fans are not so enthusiastic about this pairing.
General Hospital Spoilers – Against All Odds
Mathison admits that he would like to see Drew and Willow against the world. Not all romances survive, but he believes that Drew and Willow have what it takes.
Fans don’t see how this is such a great romance when Drew has been with Nina all this time as well. How does Mathison expect fans to be so accepting of them?
Are Drew and Willow the couple to root for or are they just a passing fantasy? Drew’s track record hasn’t been very good so far so what makes him thing that Willow will stay with him since she is cheating on her husband?
