‘GH’ Spoilers: Valentin’s Duplicitous Behavior-Crooked Cassadine, Or Double Agent?

General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) seemingly duplicitous behavior may have an explanation.

Is he just a crooked Cassadine, or is he acting like a double agent-does he have something on Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) and that’s why he’s in danger?

Valentin Did Try To Strangle Brennan-But This Was After Charlotte Was Endangered In Prague

It is true and Valentin admitted to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) that he tried to kill Jack, referring to his trying to strangle him in Baden-Baden, Germany.

But that was because he was pushed over the edge, by Jack’s rogue assistant Colette Moreau (Mercedes Lopez Renard) endangering Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) in Prague.

It wasn’t surprising that Valentin would think she was ordered to do so by Jack-he’s been on the run in fear of his life for over a year!

There are lots of unanswered questions about how Jack all of a sudden got out of Pentonville Prison and became head of a WSB field office.

And this, approximately the same time Valentin had to go on the run, taking Charotte with him-who threw who under the bus?

Valentin Explained To Sonny Corinthos He Had Been Investigating A Pikeman Theft

Valentin explained to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that at the time Jack was put in prison, and the FBI swooped in, there was a theft from Pikeman of certain devices.

These were the same devices that were used to bomb Sonny’s penthouse, and Valentin gave Sonny a name-Solisky (uncast).

This was the hit man sent to kill Sonny-and Pikeman was also behind the attempted takedown of Sonny at the Metro Court Pool, where Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) had been injured.

But let’s go back to Valentin investigating-if at that time, he had taken over being the head of Pikeman in Jack’s place, why was he investigating a theft-and how did Pikeman get them?

When Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) returned, he was working as an FBI plant investigating Pikeman-might Valentin have been doing the same, only as a double agent for the WSB?

Brennan Was Hired In The Victor Cassadine Era

Even though it seems that Valentin, Brennan, and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) knew each other from when they were in WSB spy school, Brennan rose through the ranks.

He was hired for higher positions when Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) was running the WSB, even though Brennan sent the drone strike on Greenland that killed Victor.

Brennan was also behind exposing Anna’s past as a double agent and forcing her to quit the WSB.

There’s a good chance he may have been behind the murder of several WSB agents who worked in the early years with Anna-one who at first was thought to have burned down her house.

Does it not make sense that Brennan would try to eliminate Valentin because he knows too much and has threatened to divulge it, Valentin investigating the device theft suspecting Brennan himself?
