GH Spoilers Thursday, January 9: Leverage, Clashes And Exit Strategies

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Thursday, January 9 tease leverage, clashes and exit strategies. (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)

Coming Up On General Hospital

Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) talks about leverage, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) clash, and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) tals about exit strategies.

General Hospital Spoilers: Alexis Tries To Comfort Kristina

At GH, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) waiting for news on Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), who was burned over forty percent of his body.

Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) was unable to promise if Michael would survive or not, when talking to Carly Spencer, (Laura Wright), Sonny, Jason and Josslyn. He said it was too soon to tell as Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) was in with him-Michael looked to be in incredible pain.

Kristina can be expected to worry about Michael’s survival as well, and it’s a lot so soon after losing Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Adela/Irene (Mazlyn).

Alexis tries to comfort her daughter as best that she can, likely referring to Michael’s survival-she’s being positive as she tells her the only one who doesn’t know that is her.

GH Spoilers: Leverage

Elsewhere, Martin talks to Nina Reeves, (Cynthia Watros) telling her they’ve got more leverage than she might think-of course, Martin may not be in the loop yet about Michael.

Martin is helping with the custody suit and Michael cross-served Willow, with accusations of being an unfit mother, although he was aiming for 50 50 custody, starting with a worst-case scenario.

Willow obviously didn’t help her case by taking Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) to Washington DC without Michael’s permission and he leveraged the situation.

Nina no doubt will inform Martin about Michael’s hospitalization – but that might mean that Carly will take over for Michael and fight for her grandchildren!

General Hospital Spoilers: Worries And Fears

In the meantime, Carly is at the hospital, obviously talking to a doctor-most likely it’s her brother Lucas but it could be someone else on the case.

She’s on the verge of tears and her fear is consuming her as she pleads, “Please tell me you have some good news!” Earlier, when Michael was first brought in she lashed out at Sonny, telling him he was the target and again, one of their sons paid!

They already lost Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) as a result of mob violence-only it was actually not Sonny that was targeted.

It was Julian Jerome (William DeVry) being targeted by Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) and Morgan tried to steal his car, which was rigged to explode.

GH Spoilers: Clashes

After getting a call from her mother, Nina, in DC Willow has returned to Port Charles, and asks Josslyn “how is he” regarding Michael. Josslyn doesn’t buy one bit of Willow’s concern, getting in her face and retorting, “Like YOU give a damn”!

In Josslyn’s mind she might think Willow has an inheritance coming to her if Michael dies-highly doubtful he hasn’t already changed his will, however.

The last face Josslyn wanted to see today was her cheating and lying sister-in-law, in her mind shedding crocodile tears as far as she’s concerned!

General Hospital Spoilers: Terse Advice

Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is also at the hospital waiting on word on Michael and he confronts Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison)  with much the same attitude as Josslyn to Willow! 

Curtis tells his false friend if he wants to do something for Michael, leave!  There was a time when Curtis thought Drew was his buddy and his best friend, but either he’s changed or he didn’t really know him at all.

As for Drew’s part, it seems perhaps that the money he could have as a Quartermaine went to his head. Or, perhaps prison time did this to him-Curtis had taken that into account, but he’s not the man he thought he knew.

GH Spoilers: Exit Strategies

In the meantime, Jason and Sonny look like they’re somewhere else other than the hospital as they talk about exit strategies-perhaps they’re in a private area of the hospital.

Jason reminds Sonny that he’d talked about an exit strategy-and tells him “THAT” became more important, pointing, possibly towards Michael’s hospital room.

Sonny wants answers, as everyone else does and Carly’s theory he was targeted makes a lot of sense.

He had asked Jason to take over the mob business but Jason had refused-perhaps an exit strategy from the mob is important but not as much as Michael’s situation.
