General Hospital spoilers and updates for Thursday, January 23 tease wise warnings, tension-filled threats and close calls!

Coming Up On General Hospital

Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) delivers a wise warning, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) deals with tension-filled threats, and Brick (Stephen A. Smith) weighs in on Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) close call.

General Hospital Spoilers: Wise Warnings

Lucas and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) compare notes on the investigation into the digitalis killer.

Josslyn has been eager to solve Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) murder, and Lucas wants to know who killed Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) as well. Josslyn is sure Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is the culprit, but thanks to her outburst at the PCPD he now knows he’s a prime suspect.

Josslyn’s also kept Dex’s gun and she may well be packing it just in case. Lucas gives a wise warning and tells her whatever she’s gearing up to do, don’t do it!

GH Spoilers: Important Missions

Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) has also been on a mission to solve the deaths of the GH patients, especially since she was suspended over it!

She still hasn’t officially been reinstated, and it looks like she’s talking to  Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) after she and Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) got some insight about Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

They appear to be somewhere other than the hospital, possibly they’re in the PCPD. Lucky went when Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) was arrested. Now, Felicia wants to know why this is so important to her?

General Hospital Spoilers: Tension-Filled Threats

Laura appears to be in her office as she discusses a threat she’s become aware of-and she tells someone she thinks it  might be better if she weren’t involved!

More than likely, she’s talking to Deputy Mayor Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper). Laura should already know about the explosion in Sonny’s penthouse that burned Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) over seventy percent of his body.

But has someone finally realized Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) has purchased Wyndemere and moved into it on Spoon Island, and he represents a huge threat? 

Do they know this is the man who was trying to kill Lucky and Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) and kidnapped Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson)?

GH Spoilers: Say What You Got To Say

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is at Charlie’s Pub, and it looks like there’s some tension between her and Kristina Corinthos-Davis, (Kate Mansi) who’s currently behind the bar.

Kristina would like to think her mother is pleased with what she’s done to her new place of business, but Alexis in fact looks rather dour.

Kristina looks at her mother anticipating her likely negative response, as she says “going to say this once and get it over with”. Since Kristina’s youth center apparently didn’t  materialize, her father Sonny’s gift is the best opportunity she’s got, and she’s going to make it a success!

General Hospital Spoilers: Good News For Someone

It looks like Alexis’ other daughter, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) is at the PCPD lockup, as she tells someone on the other side of the bars she’s got good news for them.

Who could this be-there’s a chance that it could be Cody who was hauled in after slugging Lucky at Charlie’s Pub. There’s a good chance that Mac Scorpio (John J. York) intervened for his son, although he’ll give him some tough love.

Perhaps the good news is a visit from Mac-who might just let Cody spend a night or so in jail to teach him a valuable lesson. That is the very definition of tough love-since Cody’s a little large for Mac to put over his knee and spank him!

GH Spoilers: Stand By Me?

Elsewhere, Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) conflict with Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) continues, as she asks, “You won’t stand by me, is that it?”

Actually, Ric will come through for Ava when she needs it-she’s pressing for sole custody of Avery Corinthos-Jerome (Ava and Grace Scarola) for her own safety.

After the explosion in Sonny’s penthouse, even though Avery wasn’t there at the time, she told Ric what happened to Michael.

It does beg the question, exactly where is Avery staying, now that Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) in Germany with Michael? Perhaps Josslyn is keeping an eye on her, although Ava would likely prefer Lucas!

General Hospital Spoilers: Close Calls

In his office at Pozzulo’s, Sonny seems to be back to normal after his collapse-Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) found him and called 911-he stopped her from having him picked up.

Now, Brick is following up with Sonny, and he says they have to make sure no close calls ever happen again.

Sonny is keeping his heart problems a secret from nearly everyone, so it’s likely the close call Brick refers to isn’t that.

The close call Brick is referring to likely is the bomb in Sonny’s penthouse, that no one knows how it got there.

No one expected it and no one found it before it exploded, Michael having paid the price and Sonny having been the target!
