General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates for Thursday, January 16 tease sweet surprises, shocking clashes, and secret pain!

Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) gets a sweet surprise, there’s a shocking clash between Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen, Cynthia Watros) and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) hides secret pain.

General Hospital Spoilers: Sweet Surprises

At the hospital, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) has a sweet surprise for Kai, who obviously was injured when he was tackled during the football game.

Stella teases him, asking him if he wants a particular sender, balloons behind her and holding a stuffed animal. Kai smiles broadly, so Stella knows he’s looking forward to a gift from Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

It was obvious from Trina’s worry when watching the game at the Brown Dog Bar that she’s found herself very attached to Kai.

And judging from his smile and lighting up like a Christmas tree at Stella’s question, the feeling is mutual.

GH Spoilers: Shocking Clashes

It’s obvious that Nina is blindsided and shocked at her daughter’s outburst, as she tries to negotiate with Willow to allow Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) family to visit him.

Willow is livid as she shouts at her mother, “You are asking me to bow down to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright)  and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)?”

It’s almost as if Nina is witnessing a bout of DID and Willow’s manifesting an alter-she’s never seen her like this before!

And she knows that all of this is coming from Drew Quartermaine’s (Cameron Mathison) extreme control of Willow-it’s like she can no  longer think for herself.

General Hospital Spoilers: Secret Pain

Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) couldn’t  help but notice Cody leave the Brown Dog Bar suddenly once Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) arrived.

He was just fine and enjoying the game until he noticed her standing close to him and cheering the team on. Gio now has tracked Cody down at the Quartermaine stables, where he’s sitting by himself nursing what might be liquor in a thermos, possibly hiding secret pain.

Gio doesn’t know the whole story but he knows Cody and Sasha broke up, and may have noticed they were previously dating.

The Brown Dog bar is where Cody went to get drunk the night Sasha told him they had to break up because they’re first cousins.

GH Spoilers: Brook Lynn Is Less Than Optimistic

It looks like Brook Lynn Chase (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) are at GH, as she tells her husband she wishes she had a fraction of his optimism!

They’ve been trying to get pregnant for quite some time now, but without success-they  may be there to see a fertility specialist.

Perhaps they’re trying for an embryo to be later implanted in Brook Lynn’s uterus and hoping the specialist doesn’t find a problem. Or maybe they are both getting tested to see if one of them really has a problem with fertility and waiting on the results.

General Hospital Spoilers: Tracy Tears Into Carly

Meanwhile, back at the Quartermaine mansion, Carly is trying to get her grandchildren back to Willow so Willow will allow Michael’s family to see him.

cy wouldn’t budge for Sonny and Jason Quartermaine (Steve Burton), and Jason gave in-he couldn’t stand to take them from Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson). 

Now Tracy tears into Carly about her past clashes with Monica, even though Monica and Tracy had plenty of their own!

Tracy shouts at Carly, who looks on the verge of tears, “That woman’s life was never the same the moment you stepped foot in this town!”

That was then and this is now-and Michael is Tracy’s great nephew, besides-AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) was his birth father!
