Unexpected Heartbreak

GH spoilers reveal that Steve was married to Sheree Gustin. The divorce was finalized in December 2023, just over one year ago. They had three children together and it was a shocker how the separation came out. Around that same time, Steve was going through some challenges and changes in his professional life as well.

As fans might recall, Jason was killed off for a while. During his absence from GH, the actor played Harris Michaels on Days of Our Lives. After that chapter was over, fans were excited to find Jason was coming back to his Port Charles home.

Currently, Jason and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) are back on good terms. However, Jason is having to balance working for Sonny with the promises he made after Sam’s death. 

Steve Burton’s Proposal

General Hospital spoilers reveal that on Instagram on Saturday, January 4, 2025, Steve tagged Michelle in a special post. That post was to announce that effective Friday, January 3, 2025, the two are officially engaged!

Along with several pictures, including one of Michelle squealing with excitement, there was a Bible quote from Jeremiah 29:11,

General Hospital Spoilers: Fans & Co-Stars React

In the comments section, there were lots of happy emojis and congratulations. One fan commented on how she thought that Michelle was Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall) at first. Others expressed their happiness that Steve and Michelle are starting on their new chapter. In May 2024, Burton confirmed he was dating Lundstrom. However, it’s not clear how long they were seeing each other before going public. Then, in June 2024, Steve brought Michelle to the Daytime Emmy Awards.
