GH Spoilers Monday, February 17: New Beginnings, Dismaying Discoveries, Exes Catch Up

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Monday, February 17 tease new beginnings, dismaying discoveries, and exes catch up.

Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) tries a new beginning, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) makes a dismaying discovery, and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) catch up.

New Beginnings

It’s been a rough year for Trina, having had difficulty moving on from the loss of Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) but it looks like she’s trying a new beginning.

She shares with her best friend Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) asked if she was free tonight. It’s Valentine’s Day in Port Charles, and it looks like it’s going to be Trina and Kai’s first date.

Josslyn looks a bit sad, but likely in the back of her mind is her own loss of Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and when they lost Spencer just over a year ago.

Trina looks like she’s finally ready to move forward with her life, and that’s a good thing.

Case Discussions

In the meantime, Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) are at the PCPD having a case discussion.

It looks like Anna is discussing the Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) case with Mac, telling him they’re getting closer-she can feel it.

Cyrus is the prime suspect of interest in the digitalis overdose murders of Dex and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and another patient. In spite of Josslyn almost blowing the case, it seems progress is being made, and there’ll soon be answers.

But little do they know, per upcoming spoilers, he’s getting ready to strike again!’

Drew Shows Up To A Tough Room

In the meantime, Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) shows up at Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) place, no doubt looking for Willow.

But she’s not there-she’s at work, and it looks like he encounters her mother instead. He remarks “this is going to be a tough room” as he can sense the tension and anger his former lover now has for him-in spite of it starting as hate sex anyway.

Nina came uncomfortably close to exposing Drew for the two-timing scum that he is-sleeping with her while starting his seduction of her daughter.

But she couldn’t bring herself to expose him to Willow just when a true mother-daughter bond had started, but she and Carly have teamed up to work on something else!

Dismaying Discoveries

At the hospital, Willow is dismayed as she speaks to someone, most likely Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight).

She asks him “are you saying I’m going to lose?” Of course she’s talking about her children, Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Serenity and Sequoia Mork Macko), who she wants sole custody of. 

Drew really threw a monkey wrench into that custody arrangement when he scaled the wall to get into the Quartermaine gatehouse and was found out.

Martin had hired Elaine Smith (Judy Kain) to find out some dirt to see if perhaps Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) was the father of Sasha’s baby-instead she befriended Sasha.

Jailhouse Visits

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is still in custody at the PCPD after Anna arrested him for threatening Cyrus, and that was because Martin pressed charges.

Sasha comes to see Jason, but she’ll have to wait her turn because someone else is with him at the moment.

He still hasn’t gotten bail, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) hasn’t been to the jail that anyone knows of.

It will be a little while before she can see Jason and she may get a chance to talk to her  Uncle Mac while she’s waiting.

Will she want to tell Jason what little she may have had a chance to find in Elaine’s little notebook, or is she telling him what happened and she’s doggie sitting?

Elizabeth Updates Jason

It’s Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) who’s with Jason, and Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) has come to the station as well, per upcoming spoilers.

She tells Jason she thinks they’ve found the evidence to put Cyrus away. There has been an ongoing investigation at the hospital, where Elizabeth was recently reinstated to her job as Head Nurse.

Not to mention she and Lucky got some paperwork on the sly from Turning Woods, and most likely turned that into the police.

Exes Catch Up

Elsewhere, it looks like Sonny may be at Carly’s place as she asks him to tell her what is really going on?

Carly’s aware of course that Sonny was apparently targeted when Michael was caught in the firebombing of his apartment.

She’s also obviously aware that Sonny worked out a custody arrangement with Ava Jerome (Maura West) since Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) has been staying with her.

Perhaps what she’s asking about is his sudden trip out of town and back, and even though they’ve been divorced for years, she can tell something’s off.

She knew something was wrong back months ago when someone was tampering with his meds-and she won’t hold back with health questions.
