Maurice Benard is gearing up for an exciting episode of State of Mind, sitting down with a fan-favorite co-star from General Hospital. Longtime followers of GH are in for a treat with the premiere episode of 2025!

Benard, known for his role as Sonny, will welcome former co-star Chad Duell, who has portrayed his on-screen son, Michael Corinthos, for an impressive 15 years.

Mark your calendars for the January 5, 2025, episode, as it will be Duell’s fourth time appearing on the podcast.

“Guess who’s back, back again, Chad is back, tell a friend,” Benard enthusiastically posted on Instagram, accompanied by a snapshot of their engaging discussion; “Get ready for an in-depth conversation.”

GH Spoilers – Chad Has Appeared On Past ‘State Of Mind’ Episodes

In recent times, Duell has reflected on his journey with GH, sharing insights into his battles with both physical and mental health, as well as the joys and challenges of fatherhood.

Since his last appearance on SOM in 2023, he likely has a wealth of new experiences to discuss with Benard, touching on the profound emotions tied to his father’s recent passing.

Undoubtedly his choice to depart from the soap that has been his home since 2010 will also be a topic of conversation.

Recently, Duell joined former co-stars Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) and Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli) on their podcast, Daily Drama, where he candidly talked about his GH exit and his life since then.

Additionally, he will be participating in a virtual fan event alongside his co-star and on-screen wife, Katelyn MacMullen (Willow Corinthos), on January 26.

General Hospital Spoilers – Chad Duell Needed A Break

What Chad has revealed, on Daily Drama and in other interviews, is simply that he needed a break-he’s been in constant unending dramatic storylines for fifteen years. Although his exit airdate hasn’t been confirmed for sure, it’s likely to be in the next couple of weeks.

An early release daily preview for Tuesday, January 7 revealed Michael will suffer extensive burns when he’s caught in what appears to be fire from a bombing of Sonny’s penthouse.

There will be a lot of resulting drama in the aftermath storyline, including Sonny and Jason feeling guilty they weren’t able to get him out before he caught on fire.
