General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates for Friday, January 24 tease preventive missions, unwelcome welcomes and sad regrets!

Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is on a preventive mission, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) extends an unwelcome “welcome” and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) has sad regrets.

General Hospital Spoilers: Preventive Missions

It looks like Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is at GH when she encounters Josslyn-she asks her what’s she doing there.

Josslyn looks her straight in the eye and tells her “trying to stop a murder”. Trina is there to visit Kai Taylor, (Jens Austin Astrup) who’s recovering from his football injury, but Josslyn is determined to catch Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) warned his niece not to do anything to find Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) killer on her own. But Josslyn is a mini-me of her mother Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and does her own thing!

GH Spoilers: Good News?

Someone’s visiting Kai and in his room, possibly dressed as a doctor, while Joss and Trina are down the hall. Kai looks up and smiles, and excitedly asks, “What’s the good news, doc?” He’d better hope it’s Lucas or a doctor he recognizes, and not Cyrus, the angel of death!

However, there would be no reason for a doctor to be masked or to give him a med in his IV when he doesn’t appear to be hooked up to one. He does appear to have a monitor beside his bed, however; is it good news, or is it a close call?

General Hospital Spoilers: Unwelcome “Welcomes”

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) stands by in Laura’s office, as Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) shows up for his meeting he requested with the mayor.

Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) had recognized him at Charlie’s Pub and knew he was trouble, no doubt from her conversations with Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson). Laura is definitely not giving the vibes of greeting a visiting dignitary!

She is livid as she gets in his face and gives him her unwelcome “welcome”. She tells him “We don’t want you here in Port Charles”!

GH Spoilers: Sidwell Responds

Sidwell’s not going anywhere, as he puts on his dubious charm and tells Laura and Anna he looks forward to proving them wrong!

Somehow all his crimes and outstanding warrants were wiped, although Scotland Yard had him as a person of interest, but then that was even dropped.

Anna has dealt with him firsthand and knows he’s bad news, and all Laura has to know is he had her son captive in Africa. Laura doesn’t buy his redemption story anymore than she buys Cyrus’!

General Hospital Spoilers: Blindsided Congressman

Elsewhere, Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) has shown up at his former office in Aurora Media, offering some kind of deal. Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) looks stern and blindsides Drew as he tells him he’s sure whatever Drew’s thinking won’t work for him.

Since Drew’s partner in Aurora had been Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and now Michael’s in Germany recovering, perhaps Drew thinks he can go back to his fake deal with Curtis.

Curtis is making himself clear he’s not buying what Drew’s trying to sell him. The blindsided look on Drew’s face tells it all-Curtis won’t even let him get as far as to make a suggestion!

GH Spoilers: Sad Regrets

At the gatehouse, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) tries to encourage her daughter, as Willow admits she’s afraid she made a huge mistake.

No doubt she feels guilty about ruining her life by betraying her husband, who’d stuck with her through thick and thin when she was so ill. Is Willow finally beginning to wake up and see where she went wrong, and that it’s too late to try and fix it?

Or does she regret marrying Michael in the first place; it seems like she’s regretting ruining her life with him now. But what is she going to do about it, if anything-that’s the big question!

General Hospital Spoilers: Lulu Gets A Tempting Offer

Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) is happy as she appears to be standing in the Deception Cosmetics office, where earlier she had applied for a job.

It’s an awkward business relationship to be sure, since she’d be working as her long-time romantic rival Brook Lynn Chase’s (Amanda Setton) assistant. Nevertheless, she’s bubby, positive and happy as she asks “does that mean  I’m  hired?”

This business proposition is fraught with bad vibes, but Lulu needs a job and Brook Lynn needs an assistant. Can their commonalities overcome their differences and their present relationship overcome their past?
