General Hospital spoilers and updates for Friday, January 17 medical steps, peacemaker moves, and unlikely candidates.

Coming Up On General Hospital

Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) talks about medical steps, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) makes peacemaker moves, and Brook Lynn Chase (Amanda Setton) questions an unlikely candidate.

General Hospital Spoilers: Medical Steps

At the ICU in the hospital, Portia talks to Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) about Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) next medical steps.

Willow had just asked Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) to meet her in front of his room, after having a heart-to-heart talk with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). Perhaps Willow has softened her stance about using her and Michael’s children as bargaining chips.

Does this mean that Willow might agree for Michael to get treatment by the doctors who once worked in the Boronsky Clinic? Will he have a chance to get “fixed” at their new German clinic?

GH Spoilers: Peacemaker Moves

Elsewhere, Jordan is talking with Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) in a restaurant when they encounter Cody Bell (Josh Swickard) and the two men look like they’re going to brawl.

Cody had knocked Drew for a loop or two at the Brown Dog Bar and drunkenly spouted off what he knew about Drew sleeping with both Willow and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

Even though Jordan also knows about the Willow affair she’s held back from talking with Drew about what she knows-however, she does warn Cody “don’t even think about it”.

Presumably, she doesn’t want the two of them in another brawl and Cody perhaps spouting off his mouth again-however, she’ll read Drew the riot act herself!

General Hospital Spoilers: Unlikely Candidates

Meanwhile, at the Deception Cosmetics offices, Brook Lynn looks confused as she asks someone if they’re applying for the job at Deception!

She seems taken aback and a little blindsided at the unlikely job candidate. It obviously seems it must be someone she knows and the application request surprises her.

Will she give the person an application to fill out or is it a crucial position that warrants an immediate interview? This looks to be an interesting day at the Deception office!

GH Spoilers: Ava Jerome’s On A Mission

At the Jerome Art Gallery, Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) on a mission….and she tells Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) she ought to find herself a lawyer who will!

Apparently Ric is disagreeing with her tactics and wants to do something a different way than she would.

There are two situations at hand, but one is on the backburner-she still wants sole custody of her daughter Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).

 she also wants to get her money back from the Cassadines-and one thing may be dependent upon the other.

General Hospital Spoilers: Quartermaine Quandaries

Meanwhile, at the Quartermaine mansion Chase is finding out what it is to be married into this dysfunctional family as he continues his argument with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot).

After his heart to heart talk with Willow, he laid into her about keeping Wiley and Amelia Corinthos (Viron Weaver, Serenity and Sequoia Mork Macko) away from their mother. Tracy adamantly refused to return the children in spite of she has no say in the matter.

Chase succinctly tells Tracy she is only causing more damage, and Tracy tells him to get out! Tracy will soon find herself in hot water, and quite possibly the legal kind!

GH Spoilers: Carly Has A Better Option

Carly appears to still be at the hospital with Willow as Portia is talking to her, but since Willow asked her to come then it shouldn’t be a problem.

Carly may be suggesting the clinic in Germany where the doctors from the Boronsky Clinic in Russia work now, saying she has a better option.

It looks like it may be time for Michael to be transferred to a long-term burn unit where there is more advanced care than GH can provide. Not to mention there’s still the pesky problem of an as yet officially unidentified murderer stalking the halls of GH, even though Portia banned him from the hospital!

General Hospital Spoilers: Best Behavior

It looks like Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) may be the one applying for the  job at Deception Cosmetics, as she promises to be on her best behavior! No wonder Brook Lynn was so taken aback! Lulu and Brook Lynn will clash, in spite of having tried to move beyond their fraught past.

Perhaps, as Cody had noted to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) in their talk about their past, Lulu and Brook Lynn are too much alike!

Sometimes it’s a good thing when two can understand and relate to each other, other times it’s like a match on a stick of dynamite and there are lots of explosions.
