‘GH’ Spoilers Friday, April 4: Sleeping Beauty, Road To Recovery, Navigating Differences

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Friday, August 4 tease a sleeping beauty, road to recovery, and navigating differences. Ava Jerome (Maura West) tries to wake up “sleeping beauty”, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) has a long road to recovery, and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) navigate differences.

Trading Accusations

Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) are at it again as they trade accusations during General Hospital’s Friday show. Curtis had given Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) some advice about the procedure that Drew claimed he would pay for since the college student’s insurance wouldn’t. Curtis then had confronted Drew over giving Kai false hope during the Thursday, April 3 episode; and it sounds like they’re picking that subject up.

Drew is irate as he shouts, “Leave Kai out of this!” Exactly why should anyone leave Kai out of a situation that he is the subject of?

Kai Taylor & Trina Robinson’s Discussion

Across town, Kai and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) are having a discussion during a preview clip, and it sounds like Kai is talking to her about Curtis’ warning regarding the operation. It was actually more of a warning about Drew, even though he did also discuss the operation with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) after leaving Curtis.

Portia had been able to give him a lot of information but also advised him to talk to his parents about it, because they needed to know. It sounds Trina may have mixed feelings about what Kai is telling her, as she tells him it seems really hard to believe!

“Sleeping Beauty”

During General Hospital’s Friday show, Ava will visit an unconscious Ric Lansing, (Rick Hearst) and she attempts to wake up “Sleeping Beauty”. Concern is etched in her face as she keeps saying, “You must wake up”.  Ava will receive some shocking intel; but is it merely the notification of the accident, or is it something he wakes up and tells her?

Ric has had a serious head injury and Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) couldn’t be sure when he would wake up, when he talked to Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos). Perhaps Ava hears about the crash investigation, and finds out his brake lines were cut. She may put two and two together realizing she was the intended victim.

Road To Recovery

In another room in GH, Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson ) will visit Elizabeth, who will realize she has a longer road to recovery than she thought. He looks with concern during a preview clip when she, tells him that this recovery is going to be more difficult than she thought! There’s a look of worry on Liz’s face.

Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) was waiting for her to wake up so he could do the surgery needed on her broken leg. Elizabeth, being a nurse, is probably in the loop about all the details, and understands in this kind of break there may be months of rehabilitation ahead. It may not be as difficult as what Curtis went through learning to walk again, but a lot depends on the nature and location of the fracture.

Navigating Differences

Carly and Jason will be navigating their differences, but Jason can see it’s going to be a long road for Carly! She may have to find out the hard way that her blissful ignorance and willing trust of Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) is way off base. Or at least that’s what Jason believes, and even Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) warned him in reference to Carly, who he hadn’t intended the polonium for!

Carly is insistent with Jason as she tells him to trust her judgment when she tells him that Jack is not a threat to her! Jason of course won’t believe it; he’s heard and possibly seen too many things to the contrary!

In The Meantime, Jack Brennan Is With Josslyn Jacks

During General Hospital’s April 3 episode, Brennan had told Carly while they were having lunch that he had to go meet with someone and it was WSB business; she’d asked who and then said she was just kidding. She’s been successfully schooled now on a WSB agent’s life of spy secrets! But if she only knew who he was meeting with, she might realize Jason and Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) were right about Brennan.

Even Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) picked up on something off with him, and told Laura Collins (Genie Francis). With that said, Brenna is talking to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) during Friday’s show, and asking her if she stands by her version of the events, possibly a final test to make her a full agent.
