GH Spoilers: Cyrus’ Mercy Killings — An Act of Religious Duty, Or Payback?

General Hospital Spoilers report Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) are both gone and no one knows why.

Trying to make sense of these unpredictable deaths that occurred on GH’s watch — and more explicitly, on Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) watch — has their loved ones’ heads spinning.

Now that there have been two murders, and now that we know Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is behind at least one but likely both of them, we have to wonder who the common denominator is between Sam and Dex that may be the real target in Cyrus’ game? Is it possible that it’s Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)?

General Hospital Spoilers — Cyrus Renault Has A Motive

Cyrus isn’t the type to do anything without a calculated reason. His actions always serve a purpose, whether it’s to expand his criminal empire or to settle scores.

With Sam and Dex, it could be more than just a random act of violence; it might be about control, revenge, or even a twisted sense of mercy.

Cyrus has a history of using his newfound religious convictions as a facade for his darker deeds. Could these killings be his twisted interpretation of ‘cleansing’ those he deems sinful or simply a way to send a message? The real motive might lie in his past conflicts with Jason.

Could he be seeking to dismantle Jason’s support system or to punish him for past slights?

GH Spoilers – Tease Jason Morgan Is The Ultimate Target

It’s no secret that Cyrus and Jason have a tumultuous history, with Cyrus viewing Jason as a significant threat to his operations and the upper hand in Sonny Corinthos’ organization.

The theory gaining traction is that everyone Cyrus kills is not just collateral damage but another person close to Jason meant to slowly wear him down and take him out.

By targeting those Jason cares about, Cyrus is playing a long game of psychological warfare. If he can destabilize Jason emotionally, he might find an opening to eliminate him once and for all.

Sam was close to Jason, and Dex’s death could be the start of a more sinister plot aimed at Jason’s heart and mind by also targeting people he cares for deeply, like Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy).

General Hospital Spoilers — Who’s Next?

If Cyrus is indeed targeting Jason’s inner circle, the question becomes: who could be next? Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), Jason’s son, would be an unthinkable but devastating blow.

However, given Cyrus’ penchant for strategic hits, it seems more likely he’d go after someone who could disrupt Jason’s life and operations further.

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) might be in the crosshairs, as she’s not only a close ally but also a significant figure in Port Charles with her own empire to protect. Jake Spencer (Hudson West), Jason’s other son, seems less likely since he’s across the pond in Spain.
