The duo shared two words to describe the PC they are writing: “Volatile and sexy.” Some fans won’t agree with that statement when it comes to the romance between Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen).

The fling has fans divided, in no small part because Drew and Willow’s mom, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), are keeping their own affair a secret.

Dillow are being trashed on socials and we’re sure that Van Etten and Korte are aware of the backlash, just as Netflix is aware of the backlash against their disaster tourist Meghan Markle. The question is, what will TPTB do about fans’ displeasure?

In the meantime, Van Etten and Korte are happy to discuss their tandemness, saying that being co-head writers is “an incredible responsibility.”

In particular they strive to strike the right balance between honring the show’s history with introducing new plotlines.
